How do you get from Paris to Barcelona?

I'm taking a train..can I just go to Gare Du Nord and ask for a ticket to Barcelona or do I have to do it before hand. I would rather get it there.

You can go to Gare du Nord and buy a ticket there, but you can't get on a train right away.
Trains to Barcelona depart from Gare du Lyon with a stopover at Montpelier or from Gare du Austerlitz as direct night trains.
Both trains require compulsory reservations.

IDK its been over 16 years since I was in Spain. But I did want to say how incredibly jealous I am. A train is a great way to travel and see the country.
Have a great time!

I think you probably need Gare du Sud for Barcelona, but they'll advise you. And yes, you can buy your ticket at the station.

I would do it before hand if I knew then what I know now, as it were.

A couple of years ago, I tried to get a spur of the moment ticket from Amsterdam to Paris, and was unable to do so. They advised that in the future, I book through an agent or online.

You can just buy it when you get there for the train... just allow 15 or 20 minutes extra in case they are busy.

Are you SURE that train leaves from the NORTH STATION? I think you may want to check which station is leaves from

Yes...you can get it when you get there...

IF the train has room for more passengers...(that's why it's best to get it ahead of time...)

You can ask for a ticket there, but last time I went, they wouldn't give me a ticket at Gare Du Nord because I am an American citizen.
