DejaVu- RETURNS

How do you say 'backstabbers' in Turkish? and what is it used for?

Ipek K
Well, "backstabber" means KALLES in Turkish and it is used for people whom you think that they are your friends but actually they are hidden enemies.

They will smile to your face and try to harm you when they have the opportunity.

These type of people are usually sneaky cowards with inferiority complex issues who can not stand up and tell their true feelings to one's face but prefer to attack from behind with their miserable ways.

Hope that helps

Sen de mi Acillius!!!!!!!!!!!!
My opinion you can say "arkani donmeye gelmez".

Undetermined Quantity
I think all people in the world should use the word 'sımbiç' for this purpose.

sımbiç = son of a biç, as it's said where I'm from. :)

Totally Blunt
I guess it is used for people who don't deserve your trust. That's why you have arka-daÅŸ... people who cover your back when you need it.

There is not exact translation for backstabber the don't use that term here, however they should,

the second guy was closes on the literial translation, but it won't mean anything to the person you are telling,
