Enter the text: "Sorry, ik spreek nog geen Nederlands." in the online text to speech demo here:
http://www.fluency.nl/
and press "spreek". You'll then recieve a mp3 of the sentence. It's a bit of a mechanical and boring voice but it's good enough to practise with.
This could be usefull too:
http://www.lukeswartz.com/belgium/dutch.html

By the way, if you want to learn Dutch you should persist in talking Dutch with the people here. Thing is that we are so tuned to foreign languages that many of us switch to the other person's language automatically. This can be fairly frustrating when learning Dutch. Just explain you want to practise Dutch.

It's always nice to try and speak a few words of another language, at least it shows that you are interested in the country you are visiting.

Sorry, ik spreek nog geen Nederlands

Pronounce it like:
Sorry,
Ik
i sounds like the I of In, k sounds like the c of car (i(n)c(ar)
spreek
sp like the sp in speek, r like the r in rough, ee like the A from april, k like the c of car.
SP(eek)R(ough)A(pril)C(ar)
nog
no like the no in nothing, g is hard to explain there is no sound of this in English as far as I know. It's sounds a bit like you have something stuck in your troat and you try to get it out.
(NO(thing)G)
geen
g?, ee like the A from April, n like the n of nothing.
(G A(pril)N(nothing)
Nederlands
N like nothing, e like A , d like the d of door, r like the r in roling, l like the l from London a from WArshaw nds like ends
(N(nothing)A(pril)D(door)A(pril)R(roli... (e)NDS

It's really nice you try to speak some Dutch words, am sure everyone will appreciate that!

Translation:
Sorry, ik spreek nog geen Nederlands.

Pronunciation:
Sorry, ick sprake nog gane (the 'g' in both these words pronounced as trying to get a piece of apple out that got stuck in the back of your throat) NaderlĂ nds.

Also, for the pronunciation of the words, check out this website:
http://www.lingvozone.com/main.jsp?action=translation&do=dictionary&language_id_from=40&language_id_to=23&word=ik&t.x=45&t.y=10

(it's not perfect though...)

It is not rude to assume people speak english.

In the large cities, almost all inhabitants (at least the natives) speak decent english.

In the rural areas and farming areas you might have a bit less people that do, but still enough to get around.

You could get a guide for those areas, to show you around and to help with translations if necesary.
(see my profile ;) )
