How does a January honeymoon in Italy sound?

The winter season is a great time to travel to Italy as you are away from the crowds and tourists of high season and have the whole country to yourself! Well, not really - but you probalby won't encounter A LOT of American tourists. It is also A LOT cheaper so you will be able to afford nicer hotels, fabulous meals with delicious wine and some fun souvenirs to remind yourself of your honeymoon.

According to this - yes, it will be rather cold. Even in some of the warmer areas like the Amalfi Coast. If this doesn't bother you - GO FOR IT. If you want some sun - you may want to wait until another time to visit Italy and find somewhere else a little warmer.

Your honeymoon is what YOU make it and I'm sure it will be romantic even if you travel to Ohio.

Why don't you take a short honeymoon to Vegas and visit Paris, Venice and Bellagio there and get some sun and schedule a longer trip to Italy in May?

In january in Tuscany are about 7Â°C at the coast and about 5Â°C inside the country. Florence is definitely the best place to stay and Rome in just an hour and 30 minutes by train.

To meet people and make new friends, have fun, great food and wine, romantic panorama etc .. my suggestion is to visit Rovinj city (nearby Pula and Rijeka city) on the Croatian coast side and near Italy. The temperature is about 14Â°C (sunny days). Nearby international airport are in Trieste in Italy and Zagreb, Croatia's capital.

I lived in Spain its cold but it depends where your going i assume rome, i mena its not like your going to Rusia!!! Its beautiful!!! go

Italy is romantic and yes, it is cold, but generally that means 10 to 15 deg celsius, that means warm enough. Consider that visiting Italy in summer means facing temperatures about 35 or more. So i suggest you choose Italy it is best season for visiting it.

I was there this Jan - it's definitely romantic but yes, it's freeeezing cold! And some stingy hotels put the heating off! Obviously, if you're there for your honeymoon, it'll be a great chance for you to warm each other up. However, if I were you I'd find somewhere slightly warmer if you don't like the cold! Maybe Egypt? It's equally romantic and beautiful - and warmer

it will be cold...but u can use that as an excuse to cozy up most of the time cant u...!!

Italy is always beautiful. So it will be winter, so what? It will not be Alasca! You'll be wearing coats, but it is still romantic! Or you can postpone the trip until spring time, that's the best for Italy.
