Well, for Greeks, summer is when highest temperatures exceed at least 30 degrees Centigrade! Such happens from May to October, without meaning that there is not higher temps in other times!
If we consider the energy from Earth and the skies, then more than 300 days annually!
If you mean the time people would "need" to swim, then in Crete, from May to November! |

I've been to Crete in October and the weather was fantastic. From September better head south for better weather (and where hotels and restaurants stay open longer!) |

Try to stay no longer than end september, mid october.. after that you could get wet occasionally.. if you stay longer, take southern destinations, not the north.. temperatures are always fair.. |

Real summer last from May to October. But the weather in Greece is usually fine from April to November. There aren't hurricanes, storms or gales. Sun shines the most of the time. Surface wind is max about 7-8 B

Look,for Greeks summer is from June to August,but for the rest of the Europeans (especially northern) it feels like their summer from April to November.You can enjoy it for 7 months. |
