2 years ago, 5 million Turkish lira = 5 NEW Turkish lira. Now, Turkish lira (old) are invalid. 5 yeni (new) Turkish lira = approx. £1.85. If you have a single note of that denomination, it's worthless, but a nice souvenir.

Here we go again, people answering questions that do not know the answers. 5.000.000 Turkish Lira is no longer legal tender. When it was legal tender it was worth about £1.85p depending on the exchange rate. The legal tender in Turkey now is Yeni Turkish Lira or New Turkish lira. So sorry it isn't worth anything. |
