How the hell is it possible that the terrorists of PKK could shot a turkish army helicopter? WHO HELPED THEM ?

Additional Details
In the news, I read that one turkish military helicopter has been shot and we lost several soldiers, in the mountains of Iraq.
Some people say it was an accident ( as the same accidents also happened in the US and UK troops located in Iraq), but some people say it was shot down by a rocket.

I also don't understand why the number of casualties is not the same, upon the different medias. Who gives the right number?

Has someone further infos about that?

For each every single soldier who became şehit, there will be terrible consequences for the monsters who committed these crimes.
And for the accomplices who dared giving weapons, whoever you are...

I have heard about it. It's said that PKK terrorists claim having shot down a Cobra. According to the news, there is no confirmation of that from an independent news agency. According to the news, there are no independent reporters in that region.

Therefore, you can't really know if this news is true. Also the numbers of casualties is only given by the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army.

There is an old saying that you might know: The first victim in a war is the truth.

Therefore, we can only hope that the Turkish Army succeeds in this new operation. But we will never know what really happens there.

My thoughts are with the young Turkish soldiers risking their lives fighting against those brainwashed 'çapulcu' terrorists.

1- The news has not been verified.
2- Such things happen in battle.
3- It's very easy to shoot a helicopter or a plane; it takes just one bullet in the right place.
4- Everyone has those anti-aircraft missiles that are fired from the shoulder. They have a high-percentage of shooting down helicopters and fighter planes.
5- These missiles are sold by the USA, Russia, France, China, N.Korea etc.
6- We all know who sells weapons to PKK.

The clashes between Turkish troops and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) intensified yesterday, in the third day of the military's ground operation into northern Iraq, killing at least 33 terrorists and eight soldiers, the Chief of General Staff said in a written statement yesterday.

A Turkish military helicopter went down on the Turkish-Iraqi border for unknown reasons, the statement said. The PKK earlier said it shot down a Turkish Cobra helicopter near the border.

"What we expect from the local groups is not to protect the terrorists escaping to the southern parts of Iraq," the military said, adding that the clashes were continuing in three different points as of late yesterday.

The death toll of the military rose to 15, and the PKK death toll to at least 112, the statement said, adding the clashes continued at four different points, destroying PKK shelters and arsenal. Backed by aircraft, the ground troops hit 63 targets used by the PKK.

Some 10,000 troops advanced into northern Iraq late Thursday to hunt down PKK members in a military offensive that followed four large air raids in the region.

PS:...to the person who mentioned about genocide.. why dont you get off your high horse and take a look into your own country's history books...America is not just an innocent bystander in this global communitiy...

just one example what we mustn't forget is that mass killing of Native Americans. As a result, bigotry and racial discrimination still exist.

Today the National Security Archive publishes on the World Wide Web sixteen declassified US government documents detailing how US policymakers chose to be “bystanders” during the genocide that decimated Rwanda in 1994.

I laugh as I watch on the news how the American presidential race goes along and both candidates use this subject as a tool for votes..

In fact, neither politicians really meant to say anything about the historic events between Turks and Armenians. They just want the Armenian-American votes. Would they really ever officially accept Armenian claims? I do not think so. Everyone needs to understand one thing: American presidents work for American national interests, not Armenian ones.

and this issue was also used by the French prime minister during the campaign..

**************************************...
As a Canadian...I feel we must learn from our past mistakes and look towards the future to avoid such a tragedy. We are living in the era of healing and peace, not hatred and revenge.

No .
Helicopter was broken down and It landed on a field. No soldiers were died in it.

Recall your politics. NATO and the U.S. are aiding the PKK in Turkey in an attempt to crush the democratic process (so ot is being reported in newspapers throughout that region).

Granted, the NATO, the U.S. and the EU all list the PKK as a terrorist organization, but that does not stop ANY from clandestine support and financing the Kurdish guerrillas in the south-eastern territories.

Look at their near neighbors. Iran and Syria.

Being as it is at present, the Kurdish lean towards a socialist state and espouse current Marxist leanings.

I believe that is highly possible that any aid they need can be readily found. And yes, can be found within NATO, the US and EU if only to keep the country destabilized.

Check out military.com or prisonplanet.com.

By the way, I didn't hear about this helicopter incident. When did this occur?

no , pkk were not expecting this operation. it was instant and unexpected.
Secondly, Where the hell did you hear that Turey lost a helicopter?
There is no such thing. Do you live in north american or somrthing? because u always ask questions that is not happened or true.
I have checked whole the internet and i have seen no such news.
I rly wonder where did you hear

trixielaboo
well, they wouldn't be shooting at the Helicopter if you hadn't shot at them first.....PS hitting a helicopter ain't rocket science....see Blackhawk Down

um PPS yeah, I can imagine my country being attacked...9/11 ring any bells? I was there....and when my country INVADES another, I'm not shocked when people get shot

Get off your high horse...when Turkey wanders into Iraq, people will end up dead....or do you honestly believe there are no countries with blood on their hands??

and PPPS...can't muster much, if any, sympathy for the Turks until they acknowledge that wee bit of genocide in their not distant past
