I'll talk as a guy who has been in that position a few times. :)

Do you like him? If not, then what's the point in confronting him? I mean, as long as he's just liking you and not bugging you, take it as simple flattery. If you do like him then you have everything to gain by taking that step. I'm a big believer in simple honesty, and I learned that from too many times of just keeping my mouth shut about my feelings.

It may not be that serious though. I know I had crushes on girls for over a year, and looking back, there wasn't a trace of genuine emotion. Sometimes the girls weren't even the prettiest ones around, but there was something about them that fascinated me. Maybe you're fascinating like that to him, or maybe you're just that darn cute, I don't know. :)

In any case, from my experience, be careful. If he likes you but won't say anything, his feelings may shatter once they come out in words. Sometimes those feelings are like pure crystal - beautiful, but fragile. You may have to probe a little bit and see how he reacts (don't tell me you don't know how to do that - women are born knowing how to probe men's thoughts. :) And he might be stupid, to you. What I mean is that even though a guy is interested, he doesn't see the signals. I have figured out as much as ten years later that girls were interested in me, which is a little too late to act on it. :) Sometimes you have to be more direct than you want to be.

Some guys are pure shy, some scared of admitting it even to themselves. We are human too, and we are sensitive too (maybe not as much as you ladies). Why don't you 'encourage' him to say it? Try to spend more time with him, just the two of you. Look into his eyes with those smiling eyes of yours (you know how to do that, don't you). Give him the message that he will not be rejected, and he will spit it out. What most of us guys are afraid of is to be rejected by the girl we like/love. With the right setting/atmosphere, and with some encouragement(!) I am sure he will say the words you long to hear.

Move on dear. I tend not to listen to other friends, especially his friends because they might just be taking you along for the ride or might be making a mountain out of a molehill.

Just let it be, if he really likes you, he should make the first move and not you. Even if he said yes, it would still come off as you were the instigator. Men tend to think less of women who are too forward even if they are nice girls. Let's say, you slip down a notch.

You can try to draw him out... in a very simple way so that you avoid "looking cheap' as Young Turk says. It can sound too easy to be try but ask him to do something for you like "can you hold my coke" or "help me carry this" it will flatter him, and he might relax, but you have to pay attention to him when and after he does this small favor. Then he might see the attention you gave him and have confidence. This is not as direct as telling him what you think or asking what he thinks but it is another option.

He must,at first, decide with himself what he wants, because he doesn't know what he wants. Most likely he won't be reliable and trustworthy, it is possible that you will waist your time and maybe you got disappointed and hurt.
