The vast majority of Europeans are particularly fond of all Americans, colour does not enter the equation.Come on over you will be very welcome especially in N., Ireland,Its really worth seeing Belfast. Forget about Paris Rome London .

Europe is a very big place made up of many different countries. It's impossible to say if "Europeans" like black Americans because we are made up of so many different races, cultures & personality types. You'll be received warmly in some places & hated in others. Some people love Americans, some people hate Americans whatever their skin colour. On the whole though, providing you're not of the loud, obnoxious, bragging variety of American, you will be welcomed with open arms.

I dont think itll be the black thing that they dont like...americans are generally disliked based on arrogance and ignorance...just make sure u make an effort with the languages of the countries you're in and try to be a little modest when it comes to your own country.

It depends if you are from South America or Canadian and speak Spanish, French or Portuguese beside proper English and it depends which country you will be in on your stay, but overall I guess you will have less problem in Europe than in USA as racial nuts are uncommon in Europe. You see we have not have any racial wars in Europe like in USA like you have had with the Indians. The Nazi- German was a religious war against the Jews and Lebensraum for the Germans. A funny thing is that there were Polish Jews in Poland with the same family name as Hitler.

They say Italian men love black women. I've been to Europe a couple of times and have never had a problem, but put it this way - wherever you go, there is bound to be someone who has issues with the color of your skin. If you find this to be the case, just ignore them.

No, they generally don't have a problem with skin colour over here, particularly the countries with a long history of trade.

I am form Eastern Europe and I also think you will have no problems. There are idiots everywhere, but basically Europeans are nice and tolerant people. The rule is - if you show respect to the country and culture, they respect you.

If there is any problem, it is likely to be in eastern countries, which were part of the Communist Bloc. There have been a few instances of this at soccer matches, directed at black players in general, not American.

We do like americans but not necessarily bush and cronies.Racists exist everywhere but they are in minority.

Europeans won't have a problem with you being black, they might have a problem with you being American though! lol

You'll probably get quite a few jokes made, Europeans seem to have quite a low tolerance to the obnoxious kind of stereotype of Americans (I'm not saying you're obnoxious, but I'm sure you've heard of the type of reputation Americans have abroad) especially in the UK and Ireland. Europeans seem to have a no bull kind of attitude.

I don't think you will have problems. There are many black people in Europe. Some Europeans don't like Americans because of the "I am the center of the world" attitude some have. There is an American military base near my city and when they see a soldier people say " look an American" not " look a black man".
