LOL :-)))) NO!!! You won't get robbed for wearing those clothes.. From your previous questions it looks like you are travelling to Eastern and Central Europe.. And as a European believe me that we do not have any country called NoClothesistan' :-))))
Here are a few pointers for you...
1)People in Eastern Europe infact dress much better than their counterparts in Western Europe and the USA.. Especially the woman make a great effort to look good..
2)It would be considered a shame and you would be embarrassing yourself by dressing badly...especially as from your previous question you want to attract women!
No woman would look at a scruff..(BTW For some reason Eastern European woman do like American men as long as they are not arrogant and look down on Eastern Europe! They see them as more egalitarian then their Eastern European counterparts)
3)The clothes you suggest would not make you look too rich.. I would not consider them smart. As a European I consider shorts to be only beach wear!!! Perhaps you should invest in a pair of long trousers?
4)Eastern Europe is not the third world!! When you visit you will find it much the same as the rest of Europe..and Eastern Europeans do not like Westerners telling them they are from the third world!!.. That kind of attitude can make people become unfriendly towards you...
5)Crime is generally quite low..but just take usual precautions, and you will be fine..
I hope you have a nice trip. Eastern and Central Europe is a wonderful place..You will find that people are very friendly..and you will have a great time!!!
I hope the advice didn't sound too patronising!! I realise that there are many misconceptians about Eastern Europe ... |

If you are going to Macedonia, Bulgaria and Croatia I hope you are going to be robbed even if it will be hard becouse people in Macedonia,Bulgaria and Croatia are also well dresse and it is not a poor country..I have been in Macedonia in fabruary and it was great...
You should do some research before telling lies like this.
BR from CROATIA!!! |

I'm Macedonian!!!

Man, how did you get that idea? I'm from Macedonia and I can assure you that you're not going to get robbed, moreover you'll be surprised that here are many ppl that dress nice and fancy as well...
Have fun!

what poor country? I think it's okay to wear expensive clothes, as long as you know how to protect yourself and be extra careful? :) |
|

Dumb American
|
Eastern Europe is very very very very very very dangerous!!..
Most natives have never owned any clothes in their lifes...They can only drean of the delights of 'timberland boots' from the American films...
So if you choose to wear clothes.. I suggest you come with miltary back up to protect you... |

what do you think?
Just make sure it's not an expensive yankees hat.
I think it's in bad taste to wear expensive clothes to a poor country whether you get robbed or not. And very insensitive. |

Maybey, maybey not. One thing is for sure. You will be known as: The rich guy from far away.
A. Let's rob him
B. Let's ask for some money
C. Let's hang around him and hope he buys us something
D. Let's hope he takes his boots off and forgets to put them back
Dude, a rule of thumb when you travel over seas, ESPECIALLY to a 3rd world country...try NOT TO STAND OUT. I'm sure they've never heard of Timberland boots, nor would they know what to do with a iPod nano...or microwave popcorn.....so take my advice. Look into what the local people dress like, what they act like, what it is that they normally do as regular human beings...then, immitate. Have fun, and good luck........and take lots of pictures. |

Depends on the country you are going to visit. In Europe, even in the poor countries, there are lots of people that are dressed nice, clean, and they do wear jewelleries. As a previous answer, you may attract beggers, which walk up to you and won't leave you alone. You may want to reconsider the hat, because that probably will attract attention, and robbers. They operate so smooth, that you won't notice a thing until you need to use you wallet, but than it is too late. Have fun |

Depends on the country you are going to. |

Don't wear expensive clothes and CERTAINLY don't wear jewelry. Who are you trying to impress overseas? Look like a poor guy, or even an average guy with nothing, and no one will bother you. Depending on which country you go to, I'd lose the yankees hat and anything else that screamed "Look at me I am American!" |
|

most likely yes. a pair of timberlands could probably feed a whole family. but it u have to wear that, then go without the jewelry. because the jewelry will definately attract attention to u [[and not neccessarily from good people]]. |

I would suggest not wearing all that stuff. You will be targeted by robbers, yes, but even worse than that (in my opinion) would be the beggars. If they see you walking down the street looking crazy-rich, they will not stop bothering you. If you don't dress down because you're afraid of getting robbed, do it for your sanity. |

probably! |

Don't wear expensive clothes there, unless if you are asking for 'trouble' and/or an easy target for being robbed and/or kidnapped.
--------------
Also, ditch the Yankees cap and put on a Red Sox cap instead, so it's a sign of protection, especially when going through any dangerous nation[s]! :-) |
|

:)

don't were jewelry...you'll for sure get robbed |

Depends where are you going. What are you considering to be poor country? No, you won't get robbed being dressed like that - you have better chances getting robbed in big cities in US than in the most poor countries. But yes, if you are going to 3rd world country, you might attract loads of attentions from beggars. But honestly, asking this question, it doesn't sound to me that you should be travelling at all. |
|

Sol

Gee.....this is a hard question.......let me think......uh YES!!!.........you will be a bulls-eye the only thing missing is your sign saying rob me! |

Ummm that would be a no the Jewelery. |

|
yes on robbed
what you want to do, show the mistreated, how much better off you are than them
Thank you for the 2 points.
However, the 2 points have the same value of this question, which is ZERO.
Therefore I wish you a better day, the power to think logically, as well as to survive in life |
