Be prepared to hear a whole bunch of lies and false stories about things which people claimed happened 70 or so years ago.
Also, do not go on a Polish airplane, as they usually run out of coal on long flights.
Just bring your beach and swimming clothes, it should be nice and warm.

Why do Amerikans all seem to thing any place outside the U.S. is perpetual sunshine and beaches. Auschwitz is about the SAME LATITUDE AS FARGO NORTH DAKOTA.. so just HOW would you pack to go to FARGO on those days.?.. well.. THAT is how you pack for Poland.

My grandfather was over there for 2 years . Survived camp , survived war , in 1968 my family was kicked out Poland because we were Jews .Great Polish nation .
I hope you will learn something about history in Auschwitz .

You mean you're going to Oswiecim, Poland, and then when in Oswiecim, you want to visit the German Auschwitz Death Camp. Is that correct? You're going there the 21st to the 23rd...is that January '09?
Well, regardless the time you go...whether you go in January or July, and you're visiting the Auschwitz Death Camp....you'll be wanting to take off all your clothes because you'll be extremely hot...very hot! So when you visit the Auschwitz Death Camp...you won't have to worry one bit about the cold. Have Fun while you're in Poland!
