I am from Rhodes, and inspite of what Konstantinos says, i would suggest you my island, which is one of the most beautiful and historics, the island of the knights, and the magnificent and romantic places it has...
Go to Filerimos if you want another choice for romantic marriage...
Santorini is a nce island, but so limitated in places...

sorry, i dont promote my island, but i would have said the same as if you were comparing Creta, Corfu 2 big islands with so many things to see with Santorini

Rhodos is a fantastic island. Except that, I would suggest you went to Nayplio (the first capital of modern greek state), to Monemvasia (with the byzantinovenetian castle, still inhabited and full of traditional hotels), to the islands near Peloponnisos (Poros, Ydra, Psara), to Astipalaia.
Of course the best idea is to visit islands that are near Rhodos, but Peloponnisos is not very far from there and the places I've mensioned worth a visit.
All the best to you!

Lindos is very picturesque but incredibly commercial and a bit tacky in places. The water park is good fun. Rhodes old town is nice. I drove to a huge concrete cross on top of a hill (you can see it for miles) there is a tiny orthodox church there and stations of the cross along a tree-lined path. The monument was built during world war II. Very serene and spiritual.

Lindos is on the Island of Rhodes. Gorgeous if a bit touristy. Try to avoid getting married in the months of July and August of possible. The island is over crowded. September is THE BEST time of year to visit Greece.

Cannot remember what St Pauls bay looks like, but it is guaranteed to be beautiful. Found a photo for you.

As you can see, it is going to be one fabulous wedding. Congrats!

Are u sure u want to go to Lindos to get married? Do you have a particular reason to go the Rhodes? I would have gone to Santorini, if I were you. The place is great, you can get married with the view of the Volcano and spend a week there to a nice hotel that you will never forget. Check here: http://www.santorini.net/.

As per Lindos, it is still a nice place and Rhodes is a great island. But it is quite massive, I would say. I would also recommend not to go there in Aug.

I hope that helps,
Konstantinos

Can't advise on this - but Annette at http://myweddingplanners.co.uk probably can - drop her an email to see if she can advise

I'm sure it's very nice and very suitable. I'd like to add that the Greeks consider rain during a wedding to be a sign of good fortune and more specifically to indicate a fertile marriage - so maybe the UK would be preferential in that regard (or Eire)

Try a day trip to Symi after you have visited all the hot spots in Rhodes. Symi has festivals throughout the Summer and has some very romantic secluded coves for lovers like yourselves! We boast visits from Tom Hanks, Richard Gere and even Armani!
