they will forget tehir lifestyle and they try to make you confortable. Because in Turkish culture vistors are important than us. Try to drink a lot of Turkish tea,eat fish in front of the bosphorus. Dont be shy. If you are shy they can understand you have some problems and you are not sharing them. They are very helpful...They will give you some presents. Accept all and let them introduce istanbul and Turkey.Try to visit all places.. No matter if u are german, english, also greek and armenian whatever they will never behave according to your country Good Luck

You will have a great experience in one week in Turkey. You will see that ''Midnight Express'' is a big lie..Turkish people does not have any bad idea about anyone from any part of the world. I advice you to visit historical places,to go to eat fish in bosphorus,to take pictures(Bring a digital photo machine with you :) ),to have a tea in a cafe in Pier Lotti Hill. It is important that what you want to have in Turkey...If you like to have some ideas about people, you will get what you want. If you want to have some fun,you will find everything in Taksim. If you want to have a rest, you will get the best. Behave in the way what you want, you will find everything here...Please write your ideas when you turned back to give people some information about Turkey,Turkish people...

Do everything. Sight see, the Topkapi Palace, the bazaars, the hippodrome. Old town and the new parts are both fantastic to wander around in. The night life is amazing. The peple are wonderful. I got some funny looks wit but I was with my girlfriend and she is from Turkey so it was all good. Being a 6'4" blonde guy kind of stands out there but we had a blast. Eat Eat Eat the food in increadible.

Istanbul a wonderful city, a lot historical places to see (u must visit the national museum and bring a tone of patience it is very large but very well organized), very friendly and polite ppl, exquisite meals, dress properly not too ostentatious, u'll love the bargain part at shopping if u know what u want and u can stay firm. Best of luck!

It depends to many factors
Your cultural back ground
Your type of personality
It doesn't matter if you are fossy about foods you will love turkish yummy dishes

Turkish people are very friendly people, but it's important that you do not appear as if you think you are better than them.... a lot of them have a bad experience with Germans (I hope you aren't German). Don't dress like a ****- that's very important.
The food is different.... but good.

Oh but there is nothing to say for me. Everyone said all :-) You will find a very friendly family, I'm sure..I'm a Turkish and if I were them, I would do everything to make u comfortable and I would buy u presents. I would love to see u happy :-) I hope u will see all of the places of Istanbul. There're wonderful places..You can find very different things in bazaars..You can wear whenever u want. Here teens wear strange but modern (like u I think (: )..We love all of the people.Nationality isn't important for us...Have nice days! :o)

You will be asked to go to see the mosques, grand bazaar, spice bazaar, ferry trip to nearby islands, and to Taksim area. If you are lucky, you will be invited to a marriage ceremony or a sunnet party.
