Don't believe everything you hear. There is nothing wrong with going to Europe. Some of the people may not like the Bush Administration, but they certainly do not hold the American people responsible. That anyone would think that we Americans are responsible for 9/11 or the bombings in London is sheer insanity. Go! and enjoy your vacation. |

Yes it is safe to visit Europe for US citizens - just deny that you voted for Bush. ;-) |

Just come on over, you will be welcomed just as warmly as anyone else. Whomever gave you the idea that this is how we Europeans think about Americans, should be locked up and the keys thrown away. |

It is absolutely safe to travel to Europe! I have been to 8 European countries and just visited Spain, England and Germany in the past four months. I have also been to many other countries and I think that one of the greatest qualities that almost all countries outside of the US have is that they can separate our horrible foreign policy decisions from the people. We tend to associate the people within a country with whatever their government may be doing and that's wrong.
Go forward with your trip and don't have an ounce of fear! It will be great. Traveling abroad is one of the greatest possible things you could do with your money. |

When was it not safe for Americans to visit Europe? No place in Europe is anywhere near as dangerous as most major US cities. Just leave your paranoia at home and bring plenty of cash. |

I know of no anti-American feeling in the UK.
Not toward tourists.
We don't like your current administration, but a lot of you don't either.... |

Nobody thinks that stuff is true. Do you really think your government was involved in 9/11?
Next people will be saying our government killed princess Diana! |

Come on man!No one hates Americans!Maybe most of Europeans don't like that your Goverment is bullying everyone, but no one will treat you like suspected terrorists! This is rediculous!
If I take for granted the Greek buisinessmen (hotels , taverns etc) that I know of , they wouldn't even care from whch country you are coming from as long as you are correct with your payment ! ;) |

Of course it is!
You'll be fine .
Not sure why you are worrying so much .Surely the (supposed) threat to Europe is from countries with anti U.S. views . Not U.S. citizens themselves .
P.S - come to Britain |

I have yet to hear that... I just got back from a 4 month trip across Europe and never had any problems. The only problem was when I came into America. And im American. They wondered how I was able to afford my travels for such a long time. Apparently they havent heard of saving money... when flying though, they did ask a lot of questions, esp flying from London back to America.
You should be fine! Its all good.
Have a great trip though, but you know you will! |

Anywhere in Europe is a lot safer that most places in the USA. Americans are not unpopular, except when they are rude.
Despite a previous answer the comment about the French hating Americans is also untrue. You can easily win over the French by trying to say something in French. Once you've made an effort those that can will happily speak to you in English. |

It's as safe as it has always been. However if you go to France tell them you are Canadian. Because most French people hate Americans. |
