Hmm.. i don't think so. Unless there are ppl who are crazy enough to do stuff like that. I've not hurt of cases like that. Ppl who do stuff like that must be really crazy & sadist man!

You shouldn't be worried about this though. Nothing like that is gonna happen to you okay? Hahaz.. Even if you go for a camp or whatever, they'll be Ppl around... your friends will be around. =D Don't think too much about it yea?

Hostel rules! here's the deal...always be on guard dont put yourself if drunken situations where YOU'RE not in control...who knows what goes on in other country's...so assume..YES.

The movie is based on a semi-truth. Rich people go to certain asian countries, and poor families sell their relatives to be killed. So unless you're asian and your family hates you, you should be okay. The other lesson of that story is to not get stupid drunk with strangers, even if their slutty girls.

You should do research about where you're going if you're so paranoid. Yes it does happen but it's probably a half percent of it happening. Hostelshouldnt be considered a horror, and saw series shouldn't either. It's just a lot of pointless gore that makes you cringe.

maybe in third world countries, but hostels in europe and the us are mostly really chilled atmospheres, lots of students just traveling.

The only horror in hostels are the roaches, geckos, and other creatures crawling up the walls and hiding under your pillow. Avert your eyes from the used condoms lying on the window sill.
You might have a nightmare thinking you are with the branch davidians being blasted by the fbi when it's just a karaoke across the street.

i stayed in a hostel a couple times because my mom thought it would be better than a hotel room since all we do is watch TV when we stay in hotels.
I'm still alive.
i think its very rare.
there are so many people around that people would notice if someone took you in the middle of the night.

Calm down. I was watching Halloween the last night, something about that pure freaked me out and it scared the crap out of me thinking..he..was there. I'm still freaked out by that now..
As for Hostel, your at home, the thing in that wont happen there so your safe. But there are some deadly cruel people in this world. It hasent been proved but the theories are there for you to at least figure out an opinion.

Stuff like this definitely happens, but it's not as easy to do as in the movies. If you travel through a decent agency, you won't run into any problems like this. But yes, I'd bet my life that it does happen.
