I once knew a British Muslim man (of Indian origin) who went for a Turkish girl.
I think you people (Muslims in Britain) cannot get much appeal from the British girls and erronously think that Turkish girls will easily fall for you (simply you have "British" natinoality)
And Turkish girls are far more witty than you think they are

I suggest you to stop generalizing women (not through racial basis anyway) and to learn to treat a lady right
then may be (just may be) you can be a civilised 'gentleman' and women around you will notice & appreciate it

As an overall general (of course, there are exceptions) Turkish women are good, responsible and loving mothers and partners in a relationship. They are very family oriented; their home comes first. Since they are devoted spouses they expect their spouse to be like that, as well. They are protective of their relationships and they are not passive at all. That is where the jealousy comes in.

Most of them can handle a house, a spouse, motherhood and a hard working job at the same time and manage to be quite successful in all of them.

Most of them don't favor the idea of having too many relationships before marriage and the idea of divorce comes in if there is absolutely no way to save the marriage.

Try getting to know her!!!! Her country of bith is totally irrelevant!!! You are talking about one of the most important, life changing decisions of your life here. I really think you may want to know the person not the 'type'. Trust me, I do understand. I have a friend who has had 2 arranged marriages and both have ended in divorce. The second marriage has children involved. I married for love and now that is also ending seperation. Really do consider how important this is for both of you...

very loyal but feisty. don't expect to get a slave. Turkish women will look after their men and children very well if in turn they are looked after themselves. I've seen one of my Turkish sisters-in-law have a right go at her husband many a time so its best you behave lol.
As for being jealous, well I'm a Brit and I have a very big green streak, as I suspect most women do.

Haven't you met her? You know in Islam you are supposed to meet your spouse before marriage and talk with her. Otherwise you may not know if you are right for each other and you will end up getting a divorce, which is bad.

You didn't mention where your family is originally from, but you have to know that Muslims in Turkey donot live like people from Islamic countries. Every Turkish Muslim believes that belief is between God and the individual, and their level of observance differs.

Regarding her birth place, you will find that Blacksea women aren't submitting, they stand up for themselves (one is famous for attacking a shop burglar with an axe!), very hard working and protective of their families.

If you respect her, you will get respect in return. Else... well, it is better you leave this girl alone.

Why would someone need yahoo answers to find solutions concerning his/her love affairs? Look at the answers, which one would you really find satisfying? It isn't possible to sketch a general character type of a Turkish girl. You are considering to marry her, you should know her more than we do! This isn't some type of watermelon you are picking up at the grocery, it is a human being. There should be no question of typology where human beings are concerned.

p.s.

I see you make emphasis on religion, of course it depends on the girl but for most Turks religion is not something of grave importance in private affairs.

If you are marrying her you must know what shes like? I don't suppose there is a certain type from certain countries. How long have been engage to her or known her? surely you know what shes like, she will never change, if there's jealousy just now it gets worse after marriage.

Frankly, i think this is a bit of a ridiculous question.

How can you judge an entire nation of people by the few that one person has met?

I know jealous British girls, however I'm sure they aren't all jealous.

You cant really say the every Turkish girl is the same but most Turkish girls are brought up to do as there told by the man in there life. Jealousy is something most girls suffer with but they always get over it.. just ignore it ;-P She will make a good wife if she has been raised properly by her father. Iyi Åans :-)

Other parts of this question do not interest me but I gotta say this, Girls of Ordu are gorgeous, they have semi slanting eyes and generally light skin but mostly with dark hair.
Ok well I cant hold mysel but pop out a comment about the question: Ban religion, and ban marriages performed according to religion.

there are no british muslims, britain is a christian country.

to palestine 1st answer: christian people do as they please because they were given a free will, and nobody is going to cut our head, hands or feet off if we disagree with them. We used to burn witches a long time ago because we knew no better and were barbaric, which religions are barbaric now.
