I am able to go on a Europe trip for the summer..but i'll miss my boyfriend, what should i do?

I assume that him coming to Europe is not an option, or of course this would be the easy solution.

To be honest, you have got a great opportunity which a lot of people would kill for. Being able to travel, see a different continent of countries etc - well it really is an experience that you should jump at.

Of course you will miss your bf, but missing someone is half the pleasure of returning! In this day and age you can keep in contact every step of the way - phone, IM, Email etc.

What you can also do is to keep a diary/commentary of what you did and got up to and your feelings/thoughts. You can choose to share this with him when you come back or not, depending on what you write. The advantage of this is that writing things down that are on your mind often helps to resolve them. Also you will have an instant memory to remind you of what you did, saw, achieved, felt etc.

Jump at the chance, go, of course miss him a little, but have a lot of fun. If he is a keeper, then he will be there for your return, and it will be a great homecoming!

Hmmm, when I was 16, I went to New York to visit a friend for a mere 2 weeks and all the time, I missed my boyfriend, bought him gifts, etc. Really, I couldn't wait to get home to him. I loved being in New York, it was a trip of a lifetime, but all the time, he was on the back of my mind. Guess what? I came home expecting him to be thrilled to see me, only to find another girl using my curling iron in his apartment (whom, he later had a child with-he ended up being a loser anyway, but I'm still angry that I missed out on the full experience of being there in New York because of him, YUCK!). The fact is, you have an opportunity to experience something 98% of the population in the US never will. Enjoy it for yourself and soak in whatever you can, for YOURSELF, every second of it. If you have even a halfway decent relationship (better than mine of 2 years at the time) your boyfriend should be happy for you and support you and you shouldn't have any concerns.

i know that this is a bad analogy but do you want to end up like Lauren from the Hills wondering whether or not you missed out on this great experience all for a guy. Do you think he's the one? Is thinking about him worth ruining your trip? Would he want you you to waste time and energy you could use on Europe thinking about him or would he want you to have a good time. Get a world cell phone for the trip and set up a webcam or i chat and enjoy yourself. good luck?

I would deffinately go. What if something happens and he like cheats on you in a year. Your going to be so mad at youself for not going all because of a boy. Its just for the summer. You will become more cultured and not many people have chances to do somehting like that in their entire life. You have to think, (dont ask him) just think about what he would do if he got that chance? Probley go .

Stay in touch using internet cafÃ©s or wifi (you can even do voice or video chat), occasional phone calls, and postcards. But please don't miss the opportunity to travel, you'll regret it later.

My sister decided to not do an exchange to Germany because she thought she would miss her boyfriend, they broke up 3 weeks after she decided. I'm not saying this will happen for you, but the point is your relationship won't disappear because you travel (and if it does, it wasn't very healthy to start with).

You'll find you'll be so busy seeing the sights, you won't have much time to miss him, and have lots of stories to tell him about when you get back.

In an ideal world take him with you aha besides that keep a picture of Mr right in your purse you you always feel like hes close or you could phone him at night (if he doesn't phone you (-; ) Keep yourself occupied and enjoy your stay and just remember its not forever. Other than that simply dont go
