Send it all by ship. You can hire a lorry container, or as many as needed.
My bro in law did it for a trip from London to South Africa. |

I used a company called interdean to get my furniture and belongings to Poland.
I had quotes from all the major UK removals companies.
Britannia the worst at £8,000
Pickford's£6,500.
Interdean did the job for £2000 and even stored my stuff for three months included in the price.
They were great every step of the way.
Good luck with the move. |

If you feel like a road trip, you could rent a truck. But you'd need all thee documetation for your new house, and some money for tolls and whatnot, which are more expensive for trucks.
Taking the Autoroutes through France, you can use the Mont-Blanc (Or Monte-Blanco on the other side) tunnel to get to italy
You must be 25 to rent a truck and have a full drivers licence. I don't think you have to hold a truck licence, a full car's will do.
The only problem with this plan is you have to bring the truck back. You might travel with someone who is going back, and they can take care of it |

Put it all on a boat. Check out TNT magazine, as they offer great rates on shipping a household for reasonable rates. |

Sell or abandon everything that you cannot easily get in a car.
I took with me my guitar, PC hard drive, a box of tools, a bin bag of clothes and a duvet.
Very liberating.
It is only 'stuff' - most of it is unnecessary. |

Cardboard boxes are ideal as they are light weight and you can dispose of them easily at the other end. |

removal firms are very expensive, if its not too much and can go in a large van then a courier is the way to go. If its a lot then you can send it by road container. |
