I didn't like Paris, France did you?

I went to Paris, France about 5 days ago and i really didn't enjoy it that much? If you have been did you enjoy it? The people to me really didn't treat americans the best and the food wasn't that great. I'm not saying don't go because i think you should. But what did everyone else thing about it?

I am Greek. We visited Paris last summer and we stayed for a month there. We liked it so very much that we are going next week again! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before getting to Paris and touring around, we were afraid that no one would speak to us in English, since we spoke only a little bit of French (but we speak Germany and Italian).
To our great surprise, people were very warm comparing to other countries (Germany), very kind and smiling. In a hole month NO ONE looked down on us or avoided speaking in English to us. But we noticed that though many people had problems in expressing themselves in English, they tryed to find the words to speak to us, regardless in English or in French. This is our experience...

When I visit another country I don't expect people to treat me any certain way because I am American.
Frankly, I am annoyed with tourists clogging up my way to work every day.
I love the city, I love the feel, I love to use my horrible version of French. I think it is very easy to navigate and well worth the trip.

we dont treat u great cus u voted in stupid bush twice in a row. he was very rude to chirac and most americans are as rude and ignorant as him!!! i dont come to america and ask people if they speak french!!!! that pisses me off the most. (if u want them to be nice to u go to the south or west and tell people u have peanut butter)

I had a great time every time I went to Paris, the last time was about a year ago. The people were really friendly and the food was fantastic. I had a great time and I'll go back as soon as I can afford to go.

Paris is a very romantic city, that being said it is extremely difficult to enjoy by yourself. It is best enjoyed with a lover, and not in groups or families.

People were certainly not as welcoming but I did not find any rudeness. My husband and I enjoyed it, even our toddler did too. We loved the food! My husband wants to go back but I prefer to go back to Florence.

I visited Paris many years ago and did find the Parisians rude (I'm Danish), but the city itself is quite lovely.

France outside Paris is gorgeous, however, and the people there are some of the nicest I've met. While travelling around the Bourgogne area in France, it was difficult to find some mid-range restaurants. We did find some good cafés, but the other option seemed to be either sort of take away pizzarias or high-class restaurants. We went for the latter. Expensive, but still relaxed and the food was scrumptious.

I love the architecture, the city is very romantic. The food is OK. However the French people are very rude to Americans I would get ignored unless I tried to speak French or spoke Spanish to them. Even if you try and speak french and butcher their language they get upset and act rude. I've been to Paris three times and I loved it every time but the people do suck. The shows are great and the city is very beautiful. Those river cruises are wonderful.

I haven't been there but my father travelled to France about 7 years ago.
He mentioned that he didn't like Paris: too cosmopolitan, people are snobby, prices are real high, etc.
On the other hand, he really enjoyed travelling abroad France, especially the Southern region, near Bedous.
He greatly enjoyed the nice views, people, food and of course... the wine.

So, I guess that next time you should travel out of the big cities and enjoy some nice views and wines in the country.

I imagine french girls must be real nice, though..uuulala!

I thought it was beautiful and a great experience. I think I would enjoy it when its warmer, though.
and yes, I agree about the people... The French are not the friendliest.
Man, as far as food, I sure did like those Croques.
