I have a few questions about what to wear in Greece...?

What is considered appropriate for women to wear? For example, is it alright to have your shoulders showing, wear shorts or skirts, etc.?
What do women and men normally wear in Greece?
What do they wear on the beach?

You can wear pretty much what you would in any western country.

If you visit churches or religious buildings you should have covered shoulders and skirt/short length should be respectable (knee length).

Obviously be considerate when you go to a restaurants (wearing a top if you are a guy and don't go in wearing swimwear).

Hello from Hellas, Europe!

What makes you think women here do not dress like all Europeans?? Maybe you are misinformed....

We dress like all Europeans, sometimes even better!!

On the beach we wear sexy bikinis for a wonderful tan!

We wear everything that is worn in the western world, all around Europe and the US. You can have anything showing, it is just not appropriate to go to church or a monastery with shorts or shoulders out. Some monasteries-usually nunneries- also require from women to wear skirts. But apart from that you dress normally and on the beach you can wear the smallest bikini or topless you like, but total nudism is not permitted in public beaches, and of course if guys stare at you don't be surprised!

Most of Greece is very liberal and you will be fine wearing whatever you normally wear. Tourist beaches are generally full of people wearing teeny-tiny bikinis.

If you're travelling off the beaten track, or visiting rural areas, you will see women dress slightly more conservatively. This is generally true pretty much everywhere in the world, though. In my experience there's nowhere in Greece where it would be a problem to have bare shoulders or shorts, except of course if you're visiting a place of worship.

In Athens or other big towns, or general tourist venues, pretty much anything goes. It's hot, though!

It is wise to wear clothes once you find yourself in public. How much you want to show of yourself is up to you at your own risk. Greeks are highly eroticized and you may elicit some interesting and adventurous proposals if you allow a lot of cleavage to plain view.
On the beach you can go topless if you wish, pretty much as the men do.

tiram
ordinary closes,as the rest of the western world.the only time you should cover up is when you go to a church or a monastery.

It's OK if you wear mini skirts and sexy tops. Men wear jeans, T-shirts as men in the whole world. In beach we wear bathing suit and women allowed to be topless. What you've been thinking?
