If u want to know about travel agency's rules in Russia,Yes, this is correct, according to the rules of travel agency the person have to pay for vaucher(including flight, transfer,hotel and tourist program), if she is asking for tourist trip. But for visa she has to pay not for travel agency. She has to visit US Embassy in Moscow(twice).It's a long process, and probably she will not get the visa.(check US Government sites such as http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html)

Besides, if she gets tourist visa, she will have to follow the tourist program route, otherwise she will be deported from US.
Fiancee's visa can be used only once for one person(that means that if your relations doesn't work, she will not be able to enter US with the same type of visa).
If u try to make guest visa(like invitation come from u) - it will100% fail.
Important note - Russian women have high self respect and don't like to ask a man(which is not a husband) to pay for her.
Want to meet her? Come to her place to visit her. Or meet in visa free country - Turkey,Thailand,Ukrain(which is visa free for US citizens).
Have u talked with her by phone, have u seen her on web-cam?Beware of scammers. Don't send money or cheque!!!Well, if u want to support her,U can send her a flight ticket through travel american agency( which u trust), but getting visa will be a real problem for her.

Person from all countries (except some countries that considered to be to be terrorist countries) can visit US as a tourist.
There r several types of visa to enter US. Thousands of Russians use to travel as tourist to US(also for business, study, to visit relatives).But each person has to prove that that he has a strong reason for visiting US(confirmation of booked and paid up hotel suites, flight tickets, also he must have property in Russia, money in bank, etc. вЂ“ too many papers; your wife can translate http://www.sodis.ru/disp?s=visa&id=156).
Some of my friends have visited US as tourist, some for study,some have visited their relatives. Each time US Embassy takes personal decision.

I dont' think its a scam necessarily. A good scammer insists that she will pay for it herself and will hit you later with the last minute additional money for visa trick.

I think Humpy was being silly, because you have to be really naive to think someone would scam you just to come here. No russian thinks America is some great place to flee to anymore sorry.

I'm almost sure she is trying to get money, maybe she is he and it doesn't stop him from mailing you interesting strories and inloved words.
But of course you have to pay for visa and tickets if you want to go to the country or you heard about free visas to the USA?
Insist that she paid it herself and in states you will give her money back when she comes (if she comes).

I also have been corresponding with a girl from Cheboksary. Her name is Anna. Is this the same girl? I was asked recently about sending 420 Euros to the Agency. What agency I don't know. I asked for all the info and have yet to get a reply. It was only yesterday though, so I'll give her time to reply. She stated it would be 280 Euro for Visa and 180 Euros for passport. That is about $622 U.S. dollars. Does that sound right to anyone?

of course is a scam, no fine russian lady ask for a tourist visa for United States, only write and dont say nothing, try to write or comunicate with another girl, after 6 months, meet her in Russia or Ukraine, Ukraine is cheaper, but at the first sign of "i dont have money can u sent me?" well bye bye, is kind of difficult now if you try in bride.ru is so so from 100% of russian girls u will find 60% scam there is not secure home page.

Try and try but dont waste time writing if u dont want to travel, sometime u will find the the right girl and u have to travel to Turkey, Thailand or Egypt is depend of you and the girl of course depend of your budget also.. good luck

GINGER i dont think so i dont agree with you there is no tourist visa for russian girls ..only for work and visa that is it but the cost is 3000 dollars for the russian girls.

Yes it is true what she is telling you. I have a friend who lives in Moscow. She also needs an invitation to this country and she will have to fill out 50 forms of who is paying for the trip, her job, why she is going, family ties. etc. It's not as easy as you think for them to even approve her to come here.
BUT DUDE, if she wants to come here, make her pay for her own fare. Tell her you would love to meet her but you AIN'T paying for no ticket etc !

But if you insist...why not go to Russia..You get the free trip, see where she lives and who she is and if it don't work out at least you got the cool experience and not her!
