I haven't been skiing as such, but not long back from some Christmas Markets. I know the locals were worried as it's still unusually warm for this time of year.

frenziedmonkey
No, but a Slovakian friend told me that it was the first time they'd had no snow in her home town at xmas for about 140 years.

You'd almost think the planet was getting warmer or something.

Can you surf?

Police Artist
Not been yet
But valdizer in south of france is meant to be snowy at the moment

Have a great time

Europe is so big!! But here in Granada, the south of Spain, we have Sierra Nevada ski resort at about 34 kilometres from the city centre and I read in the newspaper that last weekend there were about 8.000 people skiing up there; also on TV, in the weather section, I heard that there are more skiing kilometres here than in any other resort in Spain.

We went to Mt. Titlus in Switzerland on Dec 17th, there was snow but not a whole lot. They're open year-round so obviously they always have some! About 1/2 the trails were open.

Friends just back from Swiss Alps and there's a metre of snow on the slopes. Not a lot in France apparently.

Ehh, define Europe?

Here's the snow depth map of Finland, there's plenty of snow in northern ski resorts:

As you seen, most of the slopes are open.
