id say either dublin or anywhere in italy. are you from ny? why are you leaving the city for a whole month? but ya... dublin cause of the fun irish spirit and i bet youd have a great time there. and italy cause the food is AWESOME!! and theres a lot of great stuff to see and do there. but whatever you choose, have an awesome time!! im going backpacking through europe this summer (all of august) so maybe well bump into each other somewhere in europe all the way from nyc. GO GIANTS!! :)

Paris or Rome
best monuments
youll get bored in 1 month in the smaller cities

London and Milan are great and i'm talking from personal experience. There is much more to see in London and the night life is excelent. I don't know where are you from but as I can see your English is good and in some countries this can be decisive. You can manage in London if you spend your money wisely.

If you are of European descent, I would choose the country from which your ancestors came.

Milan! It's a great place and it's just a train ride away from Venice, Verona, Florence, Rome and Switzerland.

Why not just take a tour, and hit them all? I just started traveling last year, and I used EF College Break. They were really good and they take care of all the details for you. All you pay for is lunch and dinner, since the package tour includes round trip airfare and hotels and a tour director. So it was pretty cool that I did not have to worry about anything and just have fun. You should check it out. I think its only for people 18-26 though since it is a student subsidized travel thing. So basically, you do the tourist thing one morning with them, and then you are free to explore and experience. Oh, and if you decide to use them I recently got a promo code for them at this fair. it is HESSELN1188 and it saves you at least an extra $100. I don't know if that was what you were after. You should see if it works for you. I had lots of fun on my trip. (I went to France!) You just book online. Um, just google ef college break and you should find it. Its the cheapest way to travel, I've found so far-and I've looked for a long time.

Dont go to London. Its THE most expensive city in the world, it actually beat Tokyo Japan! So unless u want to go broke dont go there.

Id suggest Paris!

Rome is nice, but its only the older buildings that are appealing. Not much night life etc.

I say Paris. :) beautiful Eiffel Tower!

Pick something not so common cuz probably many people know about the place and things soo... maybe Berlin or Dublin or Milan

London

t_maia2000
My vote goes to Berlin.

It is still cheap (won't be in a few years) and is currently the hippest city in all of Europe. There is so much happening there right now in the underground scene, you won't believe it. Arts, music, fashion, etc. And there is so much to see and do, you can spend months in the city and you'll still be surprised.

London and Venice are ridiculously expensive, Rome, Milan and Madrid stifling hot, Paris will be flooded with tourists while Parisiens flock to the beach all around the Med, Dublin is has weather that is far to rainy and cool for summer.

DUBLIN!!!!!!!!!
i went there a year ago and loved it. it is so different than any where else i europe. they have such a rich history. amazing ruins the nicest people ever such different and cool sports there way of life is so cool the preforming arts is so cool too
go to dublin
