I just move to Europe from the Caribbean and I don't have anything called winter clothes?

It will be difficult for you to acclimate to your first Winter. Get a down filled coat that's weather rated to at least -5 degrees farenheit, -20 would me more comfortable for you. Always wear a hat to preserve body heat. Your body works very hard to keep your head warm. You'll also want warm gloves like wool lined with Thinsulate insulation. Some wool socks would feel very toasty inside some water resistant boots. It hurts when your toes and fingertips get too cold and start turning blue. Check the weather rating on your cold weather gear for the best value. Its worth the extra money to pay for good warm clothes instead of freezing and getting sick.

You will want at least one light jacket, and probably at least one heavy coat. Long pants, and some sweaters and maybe a couple of turtleneck shirts (you may want to hold off on that and decide as the winter progresses whether you even like them - some people are totally comfortable in them, others, not so much so.)

You will also want some socks. My boyfriend, many years ago, moved to the Colorado mountains from Cali with no socks. He was COLD!!! And cover-your-feet shoes, if you don't have any of those.

We actually don't know what you DO have, so, forgive me if I assume you live a more casual lifestyle than you may.

A lot depends on where you are...because Europe is a large place, with a wide variety of climates. Exactly how cold it gets is going to vary from one place to another.

Ask the locals, and, at least for the first year, you might want to go even heavier than they do, because you are not accustomed to it.

Long-sleeved tops, and jumpers, as well as short sleeves that you can layer under a zip-up top or something. Also a warm coat for outdoors, and a warm pair of boots to keep your feet warm. And some thick socks, good for when it's really really cold. Not forgetting hat, scarf and a pair of gloves!

You must get warm apparels for winter cus it's very cold in general in Europe. You need thick stockings, boots and trousers and naturally a wollen pullover, a scarf with gloves, a cap and/or hat.

Hey - welcome to our summer....!

The UK doesn't get that cold in the winter, but you said Europe - so it depends on which country you're in and where you are in that country. It varies massively. Google the usual weather conditions where you are.

You shouldn't be without a raincoat and a brolly (umbrella) in whichever country.

Loads of good answers here, I would just like to add, remember, you can some really good clothes at Charity Shops, and, as you will have to get a lot of winter gear, this will save you a whole heap of money.
