If you are a UK citizen you have the right to live and work in the Netherlands and you do not need a residence or work permit to do so - all you will need is your UK passport. If you are just living in Scotland but have a differeny nationality then you should look at the embassy website.

Ask the Dutch embassy. It varies from country to country.

First - you need money

Second - you need mode of transportation

Third - as you live in an EC country (UK) you shouldn`t have a problem getting a permit to work in The Netherlands.
