My dear, everybody knows it, that the countries which have ancient greek civilisation such as yours, ours, romans,have always many things to present and to show,than others who dont have history and they try to invent..Many of them, conservate things obtained from other countries, i dont speak about specific ones, i speak generally...
One of the biggsets ancient personalities, is Hippocrates, the oath of Hippocrates all over the world, the father of medecine, who had discovered also cancer..In Knossos, there were baths,we created philosophy, theatre, arts..
Certainly, we are not the only ones.We cant forget the arabic civilisation, to whom we owe a big part of our letters, which ahve been saved by them, when the religious fanatism was destroying everything greek..
The navy code, useful to all countries of the world, mythology, the civilisation we left in Asia Minor,south of Italy...
Unfortunately today some values have been deleted, but we still keep principles which make us feel real greeks, with the spirit high, and the feelings warm to ebveryone who comes here either to live, or for holidays..
I hope you enjoy your staying in our country,and to be always with us in our section..

By the way, peguinese....you are not forced to like our country, this is sure..But since your comments about it are negative, i dont find the reason why you have to enter the greek section and to deal with us...Do you have more reasons?

I've never been to Greece, but it's one of the places close to the top of my list that I plan to visit when I retire in 2 years and 7 months. I'll only be 52, so I should be able to enjoy it much better. Looking forward to seeing the sites and checking out the people. I hope they are as friendly as the people in the Philippines. I just returned from Greece last week and had 3 wonderful weeks there as usual. Every year I say it was the best, then I go again and it is the best one.
Only negative thing I can say going there is that I put on kilos every time I go because they feed you so much and I can NOT resist the food!!!! lol....OMG I am already counting the days until next year...Filakia and enjoy your stay as I did and will again the good Lord willing

I visited once Greece, years ago, and i want to return back one day, because it is similar with us the people(i m italian)..I really love it,and people are wonderful..

Why do you get irritated when some people don't agree with Greece being the most cultivated and beautiful country in the world? That's just your opinion, not everyone else's.

well i'm cypriot but i have visited greece many times.. you see, we have the same civilisation, language, culture, religion and traditions.. so that makes us almost the same.. we, greek people are very warm and love to show it too..as for the guy who said that greece isn't something special, he has to make a visit first..

I feel that the world has forgotten one really great thing about Greece and that is 'bread'! No culture ever managed to make perfect bread, it is just so yummy and I gladly get up at 7 to be at the bakery when it is at its freshest! Thanks to all the Greek bakers and I hope you will open bakeries everywhere in the world one day!
