Western union is good and safe

idac123
a post office moneygram it is cheaper than western union and is instant

It is dangerous to send money by registered mail. I tried this before and the money inside was lost although the letter was received, and you can't complain of the money loss because it is illegal to include money in any mail in general. Better to use a safe method to send the money even if you pay a charge for it rather than to loose all the money.

DejaVu
yes you can, done it lots of times, registered post means they need a sign (whoever you are sending it to) and also if there is any problems you can chaise it (but it never happened to me) yes use a thick envelope as above suggested just in case..

Hi Susan,

In my opinion, use it Bank Account Transfer ...

No......Send the money by telegraphic transfer from your local bank. It cost about £20 to do this, but it is safer and guarentees it arrives!

istanbul bogazi
Western Union. You can make it with Western Union.

No, don't do it by registered post - you won't be insured to send money and so if someone takes it you're screwed.. anyway, I've used Western Union before to send money or you can do a bank transfer if you have their details.

do they have a pay pal account you could then send it via paypal and it is quicker and safer. Will take three days to clear in their bank account if they download it into bank account but alot of places take paypal anyway so if it is for bills and stuff they could use their balance immiditly I eoul get them to open a paypal account they can do it via the link on ebay hope that helps myself and my family use it to send money to eachother if we need to. Oh and it is free to send it that way so you save the cost of postage if you can send it registered pot it wil be expensive but not sure think you can only send registered post via the country of origin anyway hope my other suggestion helps.

Ahdunno
western union - they charge a fee

or

at your bank, have to get other persons IBAN number of bank - they charge a fee

they are safe, can you afford to lose the lot even if by 'registered' post?

No you shouldn't.

Hi Susan B, I'd like to inform you that DO NOT use a white envelope as it's a very attractive color (as you said earlier) for Turkish men.

Use green, red, black, yellow any colors u want to but I dare u never use a white one. Btw I'm Turkish and I'm Yellow ;)

I would never recommend sending cash anywhere by post, registered or not. your best bet is an Urgent transfer through your bank. that will take about 3 days and will cost you about £25. if you are unable to do that you can send a money gram via the post office, that is instant, but fees can be quite a lot. the other option is Western Union. you can usually find them in a travel agent if you don't have an actual western union office in your area. I hope you chose one of these safer options. remember to take proof of ID with you ie passport or full drivers licence.
