generalization is a terrible thing .... russian girls want only money - it is stupid ... of course NOT ... all american are fat and completely obtuse people - is it true ??? it is a typical example of generalization ... we know someone and we are already ready to judgethe whole nation, country etc.

I do not know why thousand of western europeans or americans try to meet russian girls "for friendship" .... come on ... "friends" ... you say that somebody asked money and try to fool you ... I know how many men want just to play with girls .. some of them even come to Ukraine or Russia, promise them serious relationship, but actually they use them and then disappear. So, stop saying how russian girls are dishonest and how we are "great honest knights" ... it is a bullshit ... I have worked for russian company for 2 years. And I saw many disgusting things about western "romantics" and after all I respect russian girls more then crazy western machos. I personally know some guys (in Germany) who posted their forms on websites just to make "unforgettable romantic trips" to Eastern Europe and meet nice girls and soon forget about this "unforgettable stuff" .... I told them how bad it is and fortunately I was able to change their mind.

I do not want to say that all western men are bad or russian girls are good ... NOT AT ALL .. All I want to say is do not generalize people. People are not only good and people are not only bad. People are different. Mostly we deserve what we get.

I guess you just searched for the pan-pal at the wrong place. Majority of girls, who occupy many "girls-free" dating sites have only the aim you have mentioned in your question.
If you want to find the friend (in the exact meaning of this word) you should look at theme sites and resources (for example, if you are fond of photography, look for sites, chat rooms and forums dedicated to this topic). I hope you have got the point.
There is not a single nation that is perfect. There are good and bad people in every nation, including russians.
P.S. I am russian and proud of this.

Why you think that all girls SHOULD love your brother? Noboby is obliged to love anyone.
By the way, this is the common misconception of many "western" men, that russian girls have to love them no matter that these men are uneducated, ugly,rude and old. They are USA citizens and this is enough to "poor" russians to fall in love. NO, guys, you are mistaken! Girls in my country look for emotional ties primary (i am talking about normal girls, not the scammers, who are criminals actually). And i believe easily that the person who has PhD in classical literature can hardly find any common interests with the welder.

i'm from russia and i met my husband on the internet. we've been married for quite some time and have a wonderful baby together. i have never been interested in his money (which he doesn't have anyway) and i know many girls who look for personality and not monetary things so just keep looking and don't judge everybody based on your bad experience

Maybe it was a misunderstanding. Maybe YOU got it stuck in your mind that all Russian girls try to deceive foreigners to get money. And because of that, even if they just joked around, you would assume that they want money. Maybe YOU are wrong. There might be a few people who are like that, in all countries, but they arent the majority. Trust me.

If you really want to find a Russian girl for friendship, probably you should learn Russian, use a Russian language chat site, visit Russia, dress like a bum, whatever, and when you are sure she is good, you can tell her you are from the United States.

Or you can say you are from India or some other former British colony.

Most Russian gorls who search for foreign contacts in the Internet dream about big money, ce la vie...

well, i am Russian by my self, and i can't have even an conversation with Russian girls. they are mentality very weird, they expect everything from you, and giving nothing back. i doubt that this kinda of a "friendship" would ever work out for me. they live in an naive dream from the glossy magazines and they expect everything to be that perfect and beautiful, and all that for free. Somehow they don't believe that people work for money. They all pretend to be from Moscow, highly educated, they expect to go 6 times a year to vacation like Rome, London, Paris, Berlin etc... and if you'll suggest a weekend to work in the garden or clean up the garage than you'll be pronounced for an idiot. my brother works as a welder, so she told him that they friendship has no future because his type of a work is not respect. and he doesn't have the THE latest BMW, because the commercial say so. etc. etc etc. i can write a book about it all...
So my friend, go and find normal woman who's working, who knows how difficult work is and that money is not neverending... good luck...
P.S. Girls from Poland are NOT BETTER, believe my own experience...
P.S. and about yours previous "body" question, you shouldn't change yourself, try to find girl friend who's comfortable with you as you are, not some chopped freak product.
