Hi! both islands are 15 minutes hour by ship, so you can enjoy visiting the two.
Lanzarote: exotic places, volcanoes, camels, excellent beaches to dive, a lot of night life and entertainments. Amazing parties in December at the streets.
Visiting a tourist guide will give you a better idea, try this one at: http://www.lanzarote.org

Fuerteventura: large gold sand beaches, ideal for loneliness and quiet holidays, low night activity and entertainment. Windy and full from virgin places to visit.
Tourist guide with photos and the best places ti visit:

Have a good trip!

Ive booked for lanzarote in october, but have since been told it is very windy, so maybe not such a good choice!

I love Fuerteventura. I have been twice and intend to go back sometime.

Fuerteventura can be windy like Lanzarote.

I would recommend staying north or south of the island - I found the best beaches there..but beware a lot of nudists about! lol.

none go to gran canaria i went there for last christmas and loved it.

Depends on what you want from your holiday. The islands are close to one another so the climate is similar.

If you pick one remember you can visit the other while your there. I think Fuerteventura is a bit better I spent a day there while at Lanzorote.

bugerflu is spot on,lanzarote for me is to English and its bloody windy.fuerteventura on the other hand as got brilliant white sandy beaches and its not as windy.there's a ferry runs in between the two so why not take a ride on it for a day out and see the one which you never picked.

We have been to Fuerteventura twice and loved, we stayed at the Las Marismas 4* Hotel and it was fantastic it only cost us £580 for 2ad + 2ch, check out www.cheapholidays.co.uk, thats who we booked it through, we went all inclusive and would definately recommend it, the food was gorgeous, we also stayed in the Oasis Dunas which were lovely aswell but the Las Marismas won hands down

gary h
Lanzarote for me.
Too many Germans in Fuertaventura

Anna
Both Lanzarote and Fuerteventura is lovely! If I had to pick only one I'd go with Fuerteventura.

I've been to Lanzarote (Playa Blanca were you take the boat to Fuerteventura.) during the first week of January once and it was cold. It was also quite cloudy and it was too cold to lay by the pool most days. So if you're going for the sun maybe you should go before December or in March.

BUT for a change of scenery, a relaxing time, good food it's great.

hi
only been lanzarote and gran canaria, lanzarote is nice but too windy and gran canaria is excellent.
