-Pack light VERY LIGHT!

_ bring laundry soap in tablets

- Try not to use cash --- travellers and credit cards

-If you can have with you an international phone (blackberry)

- make copies of your papers (VERY IMPORTANT) and keep them separate from the originals. Passport-birth certificate-plane tickets...

-Find out where the American embassies are located!

-DO NOT fall sleep on the train and forget about your bags!! sleeping on top of your stuff I guess is OK

-Drink Bottle water or wine

-bring medicine, for colds, stomach...

- put all your money on those bags that you can hide in your stomach

-TAKE lots of pictures! bring lots of memory cards

-dont bring expensive jewllery with you.

-Do some research on the web about what to do where you are going, some museums need like two months reservations like the Last Supper" in Milan you can buy tickets on line! very cool! dont know where are you going but...

-Try local food, ask people from the place where to eat, always the best!

Oh travel by train, buy your euro pass in advance and try to get first class... safer!
HAVE FUN!!!!

HI Carlos,,,
Ok pardner ,,,,,I dont know how old you are,, so ,, if your traveling alone,, you are really going to have to pay attention...
I work all over the world... and Budapest is one of our jump off points....
When i return,to Budapest,, I jump on a train,, go to Vienna,, go to Prague,, go to Munich or where ever and usually end up in either Paris or Amsterdam......
The train is good to use,, not as expensive as a plane.. I pre book my hotels thru Hotels.com,,, and buy the train ticket at the station....and just go...there is nothing to it....

Have fun and good luck

If you are in college contact EF Tours, it is an educational traveling company that will put you in a group and you can learn and enjoy most of Europe. The package prices differ.......Last summer I went to Scottland, England, and France on an EF Tour it cost about $2,500 and all meals are provided, and so are sleeping arrangements, and airfare. The price includes alot of admissions to historic sites, and entertainment events. I would bring an extra $1000 for spending money I went through that much in 2 weeks. Good luck, have fun, Bon' Viage!!!

If your going to do multiple countries, I highly recommend sticking to countries that border each other. I recently went to Italy England and Greece for about 2 1/2 weeks (in that order) and it was very exhausting. I visited the countries I had wanted to see the most, and it was worth it, but next time I would definitely stick to one section of Europe. Also when your choosing hotels (I used hotels.com) just realize that a 3 star hotel in Europe is a 2 star in the U.S. and so on.

Also check out http://www.ricksteves.com/ This website was an invaluable resource when I was planning my trip.

Go with a tour. The first time I went to Europe, was to meet my future in laws. My husband was born and raised in The Netherlands. When we got there my future Brother-in law took us on Tour Bus to England. Of course we had to get on the fairy boat to get from France to England. Once you get to your destination, you don't have to stay with the group. You get your Hotel room, breakfast included in the trip. Go with a friend, it will be alot more fun. Also if you go with a Tour group you have a translator for the different Country's you are going to visit. Of course you need to find a good Travel Agent to help you book your trip. It is also a lot cheaper to go off
season. You will still have a lot of fun, and not as crowded. But you should always keep your passport with you not in the Hotel room. And always stay in pairs. I really do hope this helps you to get to see other parts of the world.

Get a loney planet guidbook. sounds stupid maybe as an advice but its a good friend on the road. Do some surfing look for other peoples travel blogs. See what they liked and so on. look for websites were backpackers meet and share there travel experiences.

Recommend Crete.....also Athens. Paris is ok lots to do there. For peace and quiet St Moritz or anywhere in the Bavarian Alps. Beach resorts recommend San Raphael and St Tropez.

My son visited several countries in Europe a few years ago and had a wonderful time until he was robbed while traveling on a train thru Greece. Someone got into their compartment one night and stole just about everything they had. My advice is to stay off of trains in Greece, at least at night.

enojoy the trip and make sure u watch ur bags so no1 steals notin

visit Transylvania and the Northern part of Romania...if you're coming from Bulgaria, and you chose to visit Bucharest, you can stop in Ploiesti (60km north of Bucharest, in your way to Transylvania), and i would be glad to show you the museums, the historical buildings which were not destroyed by the communist regime...
