When he said that it's "just my way", it's HIS own way only! My love is Turkish and he NEVER treated me like that! When I visited him in Turkey, he showed me to everyone and took me to greece and payed for everything. A man is suppose to show you off and not blow you off. Dump him. I really believe he either has another woman or is ashamed of what his family or friends may say since you are around. I have a question, did you visit him as a surprise trip, did he ask you to come, or did you invite your self to come and told him that you were coming? If he loved you, he would of stayed the same no matter what. When you catch a man by surprise and he treats you different, there is someone else. I hope you can make the right decision hun! I'm not trying to be harsh I think you have more value than that!

A Turk in love would behave possessive. That means, he should have walked right by your side, hold hands, wrap his arm around your shoulders, etc.

that's weird I have a foreign wife whom I adore, I never spend a second without she is just next-to me. we always arm in arm and so on. Anyways, for some reason he just dosent want to be seen as a your b/f but it is nothing to do with Turkish culture or religon.

I agree with Totally Blunt.
Him acting like this could be for several reasons:
1- You are not his only girlfriend (He's cheating on you)
2- He is thinking about what the people in his mahalle (neighborhood) might think about you.. So he is acting distant. Because we all know that Turkish people like to gossip and having a foreign girlfriend causes something to talk about.
3- He is shy to show his love to you (but this probably shouldn't be the reason.. A lot of Turkish guys would be proud to show off their new girlfriend)
If he says he loves you.. I would believe him because Turkish guys get straight to the point...If they don't like a girl they let them know and don't let it drag on because they don't want to waste time.

It was similar for me, unfortunately it didn't work out so well. He told me he loved me but then made demands.
I loved him soooooo much. But never really told him. What's the point anyway, I couldn't work in Turkey. Brits are not always allowed. He was refused a visa here.
I am giving him his freedom. But yes it hurts when you go to hug & he's a bit cold. Yet very hot other times. When I first met him, he was possesive. Confusing!!!

i know this, it was (it is) the same to me. i came to see him 3 times in a few months : first time, he was nice but a bit cold, the 2nd time, he was almost perfect, but last time was terrible. he even pretends he doesn't like kissing. i know he cheated on me (with several girls), he even admitted after this last trip that he didn't love me... now he says again he does (but i know it's not true, he just wants my money). he never calls me, never sends me e-mail or something except for asking money. recently he told me he wouldn't like his mother to know about me... and yet, he keeps on saying he wants to marry me (but always "later").
I love him like noone can imagine it's possible. i tried so many times to dump him and everytime i came back to him, begging for his pardon. i know i sound pathetic. it's like i totally lost my self-esteem but my love's my prison... and i'm coming back next month to turkey...
