If Poland is so great, why are all the people leaving for the U.K?

Good question!!
people thinks that poland is so poor , isnt. we have a lot of people from different countries and they life is better than we've got !!!
they get money, they can study in Poland for free!, and they get flat or house ! and they dont have to learn polish ! why? because they dont want to! that makes me mad!!!

english people thinks that Pole stealing their jobs... it's not our fault that we've got experience etc.
but i can understand english , it;s too many polish people there! when i was 1st time in england i didnt have to use english because everywhere was polish.

but i can see one good point too... now england know where the f**k Poland is !!!

It's great, but it doesn't let you live normally. And life in Poland isn't more expensive or cheaper than in England, prices are quite the same.

I graduated in foreign languages. After 6 years of studies and a really hard work to find my place in the society I decided to come to England.
In Poland I was earning 500£ monthly with 4 years of experience.

So calculate:
you have to pay your flat (which is 250-350£ monthly + gas, electricity, water etc.), bus ticket (20£ monthly), bread costs 1£, cheap meat about 5£/kg, tomatoes 2£/kg...
That means that I could never afford a child, a car, and I should forget about a home on my own (oh, maybe a credit for next 50 years would be the solution...).
If your parents can help you, you're lucky. I hadn't that opportunity.

The exodus of Polish people from UK is only the myth and Polish authorities are now trying to deny it. Even if some people come back, I think that this phenomenon concerns only those without any education level. But Polish people work not only in England: they earn more in Tcheque Republic, sometimes Ukraine, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Canada... So you're not the only country that faces Polish immigration.

And I don't feel like stealing any job to English people, my employer wouldn't hire me if he had an appropriate English candidate. On the other hand, English can come to Poland and they will receive more money for their job than Polish citizens. Your government is taking care of you. Our is only quarrelling and adopting laws and taxes against it's own citizens.

But I also feel sad about that situation in my country, because even your crisis is better than a normal situation in Poland.

-edit-

BTW I pay British taxes which should help this country.

And thank you for the thumb down, I just wanted to explain the situation of the Polish people, because I thought that the person who asked this question has been curious.
But maybe it wasn't worth the effort.

Recent reports from the UK papers would suggest that the Polish are heading back to Poland.

Cant say as I'd blame them! I might join them what with this current ecenomical climate!

Kamcia_Dacia_12
Because we're sexy like that...:)
Nahh
It's because we have/had economical problems... like A LOT of them.

Izzy10 S
they may love their country but i think its probs just the lack of jobs there ....or not even that its a higher wage in the UK for certain jobs like doctors etc .......also they fill the jobs like strawberry picking etc .. that the british public wont do .....and also many polish are intelligent unliek the UK..they value there education ....we're all in the EU its a shared zone i gess now ?

How about we talk about how the British come to Poland and pee and destroy things!
and lets see who's more civilized.

TangoVictor
They're not... they're all going back.

Amber A
i'd say it's rather of a personal choice, it dosen't mean anything that the U.K is any greater or Poland is any greater . and besides check the U.K papers i'd say that many are going back ! poland and the U.K are both real great countries remember that , they are both differnt in there " own" ways !

Janny M
Polish people are actually coming back. The costs of living are high and still rising in the UK. Also polish people value their education more and more civilised and because when they went to England they all get pissed and there is also a higher chance of being attacked at night. Yeah Poland rules!

My wife is Ukrainian and we travel regularly to the Ukraine via Warsaw or prague. We have noticed that thre is a much higher percentage of Polish people travelling back to Poland than there are travelling to the Uk on the flights that we use.
When we ask the Polish people why they tell us that the cost of living is far too high in the Uk and that the country is not what they expected when they first came. ie lots of poverty, too many asians that make them feel insecure about where they have been staying in the Uk
They are worried about becomming the victims of crime, and do not feel safe going out after dark. What they tell us just about sums up everything we all think

I still love Jose UC bluea
wrong - half that came have gone back.
which is a shame cos they are generally very hard working.
shows up the work shy and dole scroungers from england though.

Because our government is taxing us to the bone. If you count all the taxes it now comes to 80%. Of course we get "free education" and "free health care" and also a lot of very well paid politicians and bureaucrats as a benefit- so why should we complain?

I am a MD and work 4 jobs. Not because I like it- but because I have a family to keep. Another year (till the kids grow up a bit) and I'll be gone too- UK, Ireland or wherever.

Not only that their leaveing for the USA or Finland or Britan ect
Because no one is happy with the Goverment and the problemes being caused by them! Everyone is leaveing for money and a normal goverment!
however Poland is very pretty! and people don't want to leave but instead are forsed becauseof financial issues!!!!!!!!!

michael
lmao. every one acts that way. theres plenty of races moving in that act that way. not just poland. its annoying how they always scream there countrys names and act like they run the U.S.

is not just the U.K. that gets those strong spirited immigrants =)

(well these are the kids)

Have been to Poland 3 times on holiday... the last was Zamosc which was good but i would recommend Zakopane as a great location!

I went to Warsaw in June, found it very expensive over there, with lots of begging going on, mainly old ladies.

They're here to milk the system, believe me! There's evidence of Poles who claim benefits and even child benefit for kids left in Poland! Many have committed awful crimes too. I have many friends who have experienced far more racism from the Poles than any British citizen. I know that in Poland, blacks and asians are segregated from the whites, so they bring these racist views with them. If they go, many people, including many whites will be happy to be rid of them!
