Pinky

If you could choose, would you rather live in the past or the future?

Past.

Technology- I could get by without that. Easier doesn't mean less complications.

Values - People were nicer and trusting someone was easier. I look forward to times when you could leave your door unlocked and not have to worry about a thing. Children were definitely nicer and have more respect.

Well you can't go back in time ;) And if I could, why go back to the past? You already know what happened.
I would rather go 10,000 years or so into the future just to see whats happened to the world.

Nuala
I sometimes feel I was born at the wrong time. I look back and wish I could have been part of the roaring 20s or met people like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe.

MissOcean
We have to always remember our past, because we are the results of the past,we need to live our Today and enjoy every moment and every second of it and only hope and pray that the future is less contaminated with evil. The past had pains and happiness so is today, its what we create out of our life that matters, not what era we live in.

it would be cool to live in the future

The past. Especially the ages of Attila, Ghengis or Mete. I wish I was an officer in their army.

How far into the future?

Bix
I would chose today.

However, I would like to make a trip in a time machine to the 'Roaring Twenties' and see some of my favorite jazz musicians live on stage.

Dove4ever
In the PAST If I had a choice it would be mid-evil time.

I'd choose the past when men were chivalrous and women were sincere. When it was possible to love people without a doubt in your head. When men and nature were one and the same. When one did not confuse one's true emotions with those that are only the reflections of modern trends in one's social life. Sociologically, I might say I'm in for Durkheim's mechanic solidarity rather than the organic solidarity we experience. Although, my conception of mechanic solidarity is not a primitive one... Ok, ok I'm coming back to earth now lol

Hmm maybe it wasn't like that before, perhaps it's just my romantic fancy. Maybe it was just a "once upon a time"...

Undetermined Quantity
No, I wouldn't. Now is the best place, always. :)

I wish I could live now as a young man :)
Or, as a young man back in 1920s in Ankara within Atatürk's circle.
