If I could go anywhere, it'll have to be Glacier National Park on the Montana/ Canada border. The mountains rise above the clouds, wildlife's free to roam wherever the winds take them, shimmering points on the still, ever snowy mountainous peaks, steep rigid cliffs going deep into the valley below. Mountain goats, wolverines, bobcats, Lynx's, grizzly bears and black bears, bighorn sheep and cougars are in abundance their. Two weeks ago, while we were on a family outing, we went up to Logan's pass viewpoint and observed mountain goats nestled and resting alongside the road. Beautiful creatures, the mountain goats are, their white fur glimmers in the sun and sets off illuminating essence of how these beautiful creatures are magnificent. The road up to "going to sun road" was magnificent, as we saw Saint Mary's Lake which kept going for miles. The lake was extremely clear that we could see our reflections. After the picturesque lake, we saw glaciers national beauty, lush, green trees blowing in the wind. We then passed through a dozen campsites nestled against St. Marys lake. Oh, how I long to be right next to natures beauty. St. Mary's lake was created by land erosion and glacial water. Onto our next viewpoint, we heard sounds of rushing water, as for me, I couldn't figure the direction of the sound, I turned my head and spotted three waterfalls from the glaciers entering the water below. The water was extremely clear and breathing was easier, breathing in natures beauty. Further up the road, we saw mountain tops, we were now entering the upper portion of Sun Road. The road kept getting steeper, but the beauty was getting magnificent. Further up the road, we saw what appeared to be a gorge, a steep gorge that looked like a valley. Snow was in abundance and their was a river that flowed through the large, but steep gorge. As I stood at the viewpoint, my dad and I pondered, how could animals climb up the steep gorge. However, I then noted that mountain goats and bighorn sheep have climbing abilities, so they can conquor any challenge. Wolverines, grizzlies and black bears also have climbing abilities. Further up the road, we spotted three arches in the bridge that we were going over and stated that they had to be man-made. Wonderful architecture on that artwork, however. Later, we saw cars from the oppossite direction getting wet, what looked like rain, but on a partly cloudy day, how could that be? Further up the road, we spotted a puddle on the road and saw three waterfalls weeping down from the rocks down on the road. I had to close my window in a hurry so we wouldn't get wet, so I didn't have any pictures to take. After a long journey, we observed waterfalls trickle down the mountains from the melting glaciers. Our midway point to Logans pass, our primary objective was a viewpoint where we saw beautiful mountainous peaks with the sun beaming down on the slopes, lighting up the whole mountain. Finally, we reach our destination, Logans pass where you can see everything from a 360 degree viewpoint. We saw mountains, waterfalls and the sun. This picturesque beauty was created by God. |
