If I was not born Armenian, I would definitely be Greek! |

I am only half Greek the other half Armenian and i am very proud to be both. I guess if I had to be something else it would be Italian because the food and their culture is just fantastic. |

I would say Spanish. They are so beautiful, and passionate. I love their music, the food, the culture. They¨re so warm, and exciting.
Another country would be Japan. These people are so spiritual, artistic, and cultured. A place I want to visit one day for sure.
Edit: I just want to say, I don't mind the thumbs down, and I certainly don't mind other people having a different opinion. But what's going on with the thumbs down in this section? Every answer has at least a few. People are just saying which nationalities they prefer. What can you thumb down about that? It's personal preference.
Biohazard: Thank you, you're very sweet! :-) You get a thumb up from me too! |

Either Russia , France or China because all these countries have a intersting history and culture (in the case of Russia similarities with Byzantium and in the case of China a delicious ciusine also) |

I would love to be Spanish. Ever since I was a child I've been fascinated by flamenco dancers and the dresses that they wear. I love the language too. |

Tough choice! I think I couldn't be anything other than Greek. But if I had to choose, it would have to be a Mediterranean country, Italy, Spain, Portugal, a country that has a similar climate, and culture to Greece.
Dear Asimenia, some people seem unhappy with your answer, and you seem a little upset at their comments. I just want to say that the way you have worded your answer, may offend some Greek people. I'm sure that wasn't your intention, or I hope it wasn't. I have seen your answers before and you seem like a nice person. But saying you have more common sense and streetwise than Greeks, is generalizing, and that's wrong. For instance how do you know you have more common sense than me? I'm a Greek, but you dont' even know me. I have plenty of common sense.
That may be the reason people are not reacting well to your answer. It seems a little negative towards Greeks. |

I agree totally with "Halley".
If i was not a Greek i would like to be from Italy, because of our similarities.
But if i was able to choose my country before my birth :)
i would choose only Greece.
I am proud for my country and i love her.
I love Greece with all her "goods" and "bads".
Like we all love our family and friends despite the "annoying things" of their character !
Humans are not perfect , so there is no country which is perfect !!! |

I am a 100% Greek!
I'd like to be American. ( I was living in California during my childhood years)
or Italian (my grandparents were from Naples)
or Irish (I love their culture)!
p.s. : asimenia mou the question is "if you weren't born a Greek?" not " do you love the fact that you are not Greek?"
What's the difficulty on this. Just common sense!! |

I'm glad I'm not Greek - I am glad I was born British (I have much more common sense and more streetwise than Greeks my age) but I am also glad I've spent my adult life in Greece - best of both worlds.
Tes μου - I am happy I was not brought up a Greek girl in the 70s/80s- there was very little freedom for girls back then - whereas I had great a childhood/ teenage years - the type the kids in Greece have now (not back then) - But I am glad I have the adult years in Greece (late 80's to present day) and have the chance to give my children similar upbringing to me.
and there are plenty of people who have answered who are NOT Greek

Hally - you got me! I am six - just very advanced for my tender age! Anyone can answer in any section they wish - in any way they wish. I chose to answer my way - don't like it? I really do not care! Just give me a thumbs down and be on your merry way!
