Hi Rose.

The majority of airlines do not allow 16 year olds to travel unless they are with someone who is 18+, your best bet is to see a reputable travel agent [ABTA bonded] with your friends who are travelling with you to book your holiday and also check with the airline you'll be flying with as to whether you'll be allowed to travel, especially if none of your friends are over 18.

Hope this helps.

TC
yeah you'll be ok, but maybe you should call the hotel up before booking and ask them?

it can be spelled Majorca or Mallorca (it's the same place!) but the locals (Spanish and Catalans) all spell it Mallorca.

Miss-Fit
I'm 16 :]

I think you can , but an adult needs to book it.
NOT sure though :]

And ignore the guy above,,^^^
It Is MAJORCA aswell As Menorca and mallorca :]

i went away for my 16th birthday i was with a 17 and an 18 year old friend though we booked it through thomas cook and me and my 17 year old friend had to get a note off our paretns saying we they were allowing us to travel with the 18 year old so you will need to have someone who is 18 + with you

MegN
That definitely depends where you are but it's not really safe to travel alone at 16. I'd definitely want an older friend to tag along.

No, I believe you need to be 18 and have a credit card.

Google "Youth Hostels Hosteling Europe".

Hosteling is usually the safest way to travel Europe as a teen. Most youth hostels have curfews and house rules that you will have to abide by but they are clean, safe, friendly, and you can sort of think of the family that runs the hostel as your family away from home. They will help look after your best interests while you are a guest in their private home.

Mmm, I think this is something you would have to check out with different tour operators; I think possibly, your age might prove to be a problem ( lots of places dont like same-sex parties either!!)

Otherwise, check out The Takkas Hotel in Agia Napa....and no, its not all booze cruises and nightclubs, its actually a very safe, friendly resort....there are loads of great beaches etc, along with bars and restaurants, but again, your age could prove to be a problem in some of these places.

Anyway, check out the Takkas Hotel, www.olympicholidays.com

This hotel is fairly basic, but has everything you need, and is right in the centre of Agia Napa, with all the beaches, bars etc within easy reach/walking distance.
