Hi
I moved just south of benidorm 2 1/2 years ago and i have never looked back, yes the language is hard but you will soon pick it up and if you already have a job and accommodation ready for you i say go for it, if it doesn't work out you can always move back. Ask your current job if you can take 3 month unpaid leave and see how you get on and if you dont like it you always have your old job to fall back on. It is hard at 1st as you miss your friends and family but you can phone and email.
How long have you been with your GF? Is it an option for her to move with you?
There is a lot to think about it is a big move but will you regret it if you dont do it?
if you have any questions mail me and i will do my best to try and help |

My whole family (grand parents included) moved out to Malaga 4 years ago, they have a lovely lifestyle so I decided to give it a go.
I don't speak spanish and have no vocational qualifications - I was 18 at the time. For me it was really difficult as the only work I could get was call centre work or bar work which is poorly paid.
I struggled to make friends my age as you will find alot of young English people that have lived and gone to school there move back to the UK! So basically it didnt work for me.
My advice would be to go on a trial month or two. I assume your mum can give you a job in her bar? By spending more than just a few weeks there you can get out of Holiday mode and get to know the area and the people. I wouldn't advise just leaving everything without trying it.
Best thing to do is start learning Spanish too! |

This is a great opportunity to live in a foreign country for a while, and maybe even learn a second language. Don't pass it up. Give it a year at first, you can always move back to the UK if you don't like it. |

i moved to tenerife it is hard to adapt for a while and making new mates but it is a big step im 17 and i moves with my mum i like it now i still miss home but its a great oppertunity if you didnt like it you could always come back and i think it would be easier for you to decide if you went on holiday there for like a month and then from there decide were you want to be |

How old are you?
My parents moved to Germany (There German) and love it. Obviously this is completely different but moving countries seemed no bother.
Draw a table of reasons to go and reasons not to go see what comes out with most.
Good luck |

All depends how old you are.
Have you finished your education or not.
Can you speak the language.
Try it for 12 months and see how you go on.
Good luck |

my granny and Granada moved to spain a few years back and i spend every holiday with them!
its really hot, you get day time temperatures of up to 55c and at night its like 29c!
it also very dusty and lots of people!
but i think its one of the Nice's places to live if you know the language!
the people over there are a mix between english and spanish people in different places but you could never find a nicer place.
but id advice you to move somewhere close to a beach! |

If it were me I would be gone like a shot. It's the things you don't do that you regret not the things you do do. I don't see how there are any cons, aside from leaving your mates maybe and you will soon make new mates and can keep in touch with the old ones. Go! |

Well its a nice place with nice weather and beautiful women although their economy is really bad right now(but whose isn't).Also, depending on where you live there are water shortages sometimes so you might not get as much water as you want. Other than that its a great place. |
