Im travelling to Marmaris (Turkey) next week. Three bombs went off there at the weekend. Would you go?

Three small bombs aimed at the tourist sector in the main Marmaris resort went off at the weekend. This is becomming an annual occurance in Turkey, from the Kurdish breakaway terrorist group trying to hurt the turkish economy / push for independence. Im fully paid up and the holiday is non refundable.

id definitely go and have a blast, dont think it would happen again in that area, plus i have one thing to say, if u r destined to such a thing like that doesnt matter where u r, it would even happen when u r @home something might occur and make u totally upside down, so be ready for fun. trust me nothing will happen....

Bunt is an idiot. Kurds are (not all by any means) are terrorists no different than el queida (PKK) There is no proof of no massacre to the Armenians they have been beating that tune for a while now. Turkey opened up all their war archives but the Armenians refuse to do it because their own athroticies will be seen. In fact the Armenian governmnt still continues their racism against many Azeris in fact even Christians that do not belong to their church.
I am sure the Turks had faults too. But I dont think it was a massacre. As far as the urds becoming independent, then all the Algerians in France, All the Jews in Poland, All the Persians in Los Angeles, and all the Mexicans in Texas should ask for their own countries. That just doesnt make sense.
PS - I am an Italian, that has traveled all over the world and have interestin history,

GO ON YOUR HOLIDAY and ENJOY do not let those terrorists make you suffer.

PS2 -I have been to Greece many times in fat my father is Greek and my mother is Italian. I love Greece. But Turkis coastline and nightlife is definetely way better than Greece. It is sad that there are some haters that write comments here. In regards to one person saying everything belonge to Greece, in allreality Greece was part of Turkey fr a period of 600 years, and before that it was many different civlizations, if land was to be claimed on who owned it last than Greece would be at a loss.

sure id go. it will be a blast!

the chance to be hit by a car is more plausible than a bomb. And the bombers never can hit the same place again for a few weeks. Enjoy your vacation and the food there

no need to worry.. I was there 3 weeks ago.. and Im sure it wont happen again.. and I heard that the bombs went off in armutlu, not in the center of marmaris..

Sasha
Explosions were in Marmaris, Istanbul and Antalya. WERE.
Be sure that in these cities there's no way to be bomb-blasts again (for this season).
I would go, no doubt.
Enjoy in your vacation.

why the hell would you go to turkey in the first place?Greece is a thousand times better...all those beaches and costal lines that are in turkish tourism adverts used to be greek land 70odd years ago...all the ancient ruins are greek...plus the night life is better....i'm not greek but i've been to both countries and have read the history

loony_liz
I wouldn't feel comfortable. Ifthe bombs went off just THERE in the tourist section. who knows maybe there are more bombs exploding, jusdt when you're there....I wouldn't go there, I would try to go somewhere else in Turkey. Can't you make a modification.

First of all, Kurds deserve independence from Turkey-a country that suppresses human rights for all etnic minorities. Over 1,000,000 Armenians were massacred in the beginning of 20century and the rest were forced to Armenia. There is no freedom in Turkey even today and I would not go to a terrorist country that killsand tortures its people.
But If I had already made a reservation, what the hell-the chances of another attack in the same resort are very small. Don't be a wuss.
I would not go to Turkey everbecause its terror history, but you should just because you've already made arrangements.
