If you are referring to the marble stadium where the first modern olympics were held, it isn't really big. It is across the street from Zapio gardens. My friend has a home just a stones throw from there. It is on every guided tour of Athens.

Hello "American Idiot"!

Well, in Greece there are hundreds of ancient stadiums! Some in good and others in not so good condition!
The one used in antiquity, hosted the first modern Olympics (1896) and last Olympics (2004) is called the Panathenaic Stadium, covered in 1896 by marble from Mount Penteli (Parthenon was built by marble from he same source)!
It has been used for most athletic events, the Marathon race ends there; even the first Marathon runner, 25 centuries ago run from Marathon to this stadium!

The site was used by the Romans & the stadium was used for the first modern Olympics. For the 2004 Olympics in Athens, it was the finishing area for the marathon. During the torch relay, they ran the torch into the stadium and lit the cauldron that burnt outside during the Games.

Ancient and modern it depents!.
The ancient are used for theatre presentations, and cultural events, like epidaurus stadium.
Modern stadium, they had made more after the olympics of 2004, but the most known in Athens, is the olympic stadium in marousi.

I thought it was called something like Kalimarmara, or Marble Stadium.

I found this on Trip Tailors website:

Panathinaiko Stadium "Kalimarmara" site of 1st modern Olympic Games, 1896

Kalimarmara means "beautiful marble"
