Is Albania worth visiting?

Only for a day trip unless you have friends or family there.
It is a beautiful country with friendly people ruled by the hunt for the $.

The motivation for visiting a foreign land is the knowledge and curiosity to find out how others live, and seeing how well one can adapt.
As such, there is not a place NOT worth visiting.
However, dont be like the typical tourist. Actually make an effort and go to the heartlands and try to live like them. participate in their activities if possible. (any country!!)
THAT is how you learn!

Yes if you are a Norman Wisdom lookalike.
His films were the only western culture permitted by the communist authorities, and he is a huge star there.

If you resemble the great man, you will be treted like a celebrity wherever you go.

Also remember that, whenever you visit a foreign country, it is essential to learn at least a few words of the local language. Making a little effort will lead to much reward.

I'm just back from albania and i can tell you it's worth visiting there are such beautiful landscapes, the people is so generous and friendly and the food is great.

however i suggest you to get a local guide especially if you can't speak albanian. The best time to go there is around spring/summer or early autumn, winter is really cold there.
hope this helps

My country is worth visiting. As for you who say no what do you know about Albania? Why is Albania so dangerous? Do people bite or something. I am Albanian and i live in Vancouver Canada. Look man i was there twice in the last year and it's nice if you want to see different kind of life. I encourage you to go.

Gosh. I would think so. Probably it's very interesting, though I don't know what you would do there or how you would manage a tourist trip there.

Yes, but I wouldn't go alone. Try visiting the capital City, Tirana it's an interesting, although small city and also Durres, as there are beautiful beaches there.

Take care : )

No Way...!!! Don't go...! It's not just the pits - but life-threateningly dangerous too...!

Don't go any nearer than Montenegro, Greece or Macedonia - where you'll see lots of Albanians anyway, all relieved to have gotten safely out.

Hey - you don't believe me - ask them...!!!

wild but beautiful country, interesting places and life, dangerous for strangers

No.
