I got up to 55 and after a little while I got bored and decided to go for it because it's more rewarding to play when you get promoted and finish challenges. It sucks that you lose all the weapons and perks you worked so hard to get but it forces you to take a second look at some of the weapons and perks you may not have used before. So all in all I have to say, yeah it's worth it, if not just for your own personal satisfaction, other people get to see your new icon too. just remember all of the challenges you've completed will be reset too, which sucks cuz some of them can be hard to complete. |

I think it is. It gives me something to do as far as challenges and such. Im not just sitting around at level 55. |

It depends on the levels, if there are more then get it there might be better weapons and vehicles that you can use during the campaign mode. Also the reviews and your friends review of Call Of Duty 4 Prestige Mode. |

no, it's really pointless. on the other hand i got to 55 and was getting bored so i did it anyway
the icons are really ugly until like prestige number 10 and really who cares what your icon is. i just play for fun now but chances are when i hit 55 for the 3rd time ill do it eventually out of boredom again. |

It depends are if you want the different symbols or not... I have prestige a few times but then stopped at 55 on my third prestige so i could get all of my golden weapons... so i would say no. |

well I'm asking the same thing, and i think i might do it. I'm really bored of being a commander, and also it only took me like two months to get there so its no big deal for me. so at this rate I'll be done by the summer and I'll have mad golden guns...so to sum it all up, guy who asked the question, i think u can start prestiging with me SON!!!
