Diyarbakir's history dates back to 8600 BC, therefore it is like an open air museum with lots of monuments and artifacts. They have an amazing culture- different from modern cosmopolitan cities i.e Istanbul or Izmir, etc- but very impressive.
I have heard about Academia English and it is one of the oldest private language courses in Turkey.
I think you will have a different and mystical time there. I would suggest you to do a little reading about the history and culture though.
Here are some links that may guide you:

Hope it helps |

I don't agree with people who say 'Don't go to Diyarbakır, stay in west'
I'll say just few things: People in Diyarbakır need to learn more. And I searched that school, it seems to be good and modern. Also if it is 2 months only, I'd go there to see a different place and meet interesting people :) |

East of Turkey not same as west of Turkey. The culture more different than Western. And so very very far from Istanbul or Capital city of Turkey. There are many beautiful places to visit in Turkey. I dont think Diyarbakır is one of them. |

I think any place in Turkey is not a good place to visit. They have too many problems with the Kurds. |

You know what when i see answers like of Volkan i feel sorry for Turkish people, really they do not need enemies, some Turkish like to underestimate their own people and their own people...İ hate to read the sentences like "West Turkey is Modern, East Turkey is undeveloped and non interensting"...i really feel to trow up!!!, this people think that Turkey means just Istambul and all west coast to Antalya! İ am not Turkish and i am proud to have seen almost all Turkey and i know very well that modern cities are in West but i also am living in a conservative city where modernity is also here but applied in different ways...certainly east cities are less developed but believe me they still keep the true scence of Turkish culture, the people is keeping still their own roots and therefore you will discover that Turkey is not just Istambul..Diyarbakır is on the heart of the ancient Mesopotamy so you will see alot of interesting things, unafortunatly there are some political problems that make Diarbakır insecure (PKK terrorism) but as a city is it nice.. |

Diyarbakir is a main city of the Kurds. I am not sure if this is a really beautiful city but I don't suggest you going there as this is not a safe place to be. |

Your miserable and ridiculous trolling efforts aside,
the inherently wrong and vehemently misleading postulate of your question render us no chance for giving you a proper reply
but only leave us with the sole option to think that you're posing this meaningless question just to spread a baseless hatred |
