Yes, great! Number 1 is Krakow. Get a condo near the old town square and hang out in the dozens of open air cafes there (but not in the winter) or one of the hundreds of restaurants and clubs. Visit the Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill, St Marys, the museums.

Visit OÅ›wiÄ™cim (Auschwitz), visit Wieliczka Salt Mine, as day trips from Krakow.

spend a few days in Warsaw, WrocÅ‚aw, GdaÅ„sk, or in the mountains.

The exchange rate is good, so everything is low priced.

why everybody writing visit Oswiecim etc i know it's history but tourist wanna spend nice and funny time in Poland and Auschwitz is not nice place cos it's sad.

Visit Poland in summer is fab :)

I've visited most of the countries in Europe and the Polish people are definitely the most friendly and warm people of the lot. Just go, you'll love it.

Go in the spring,summer or fall when temperatures should be in the 70's.

Krakow is the best introduction to Poland for the 1st time visitor but there are so many other places worth seeing.

The Tri city area of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot is the place where most Poles go on vacation so when in Rome......

Yes, I enjoyed my trip to my birthplace in 2007 for 4 months. I stayed in Krakow the whole time. Just walking around Krakow was fun...the Vistula River, the Old Town Square (many free and paid activities there), Krakow Mall, Kazimierz Mall...and the Park Planty was enjoyable to sit and read and watch people. Also, one day excursions to Zakopane and Oswiecim (the German is Auschwitz). Sorry I didn't get to Czestochowa...but maybe next trip. Have fun there.

why the heck everyone is saying that poeple that go to poland on vacation should visit Oswiecim ???

it will be crowder i prefer going to MAzury lots of beautiful lakes, camping places, outside of the city,nice and quiet
