Texas is 268,581 square miles (695,622 km²) France one of the largest countries in the Continental EU is 547,030 sq km While Russia is larger @17,075,200 sq km, but only the parts west of the Urals is considered Europe Greenland withdrew from the EU in 1985 over fishing rights, but I suppose technically is still part of Europe and at 2,166,086 sq km so its bigger than Texas. Otherwise Texas is probably larger than all of the countries of Europe.. Note that Alaska is over twice the size of Texas and the amount of Alaska underlain by permafrost is equal to the size of three California's so even they are dwarfed by comparison.

No. There is Russia which is considered to be part of Europe; and there is Greenland which is northeast of the U.S. and it belongs to Denmark
