yeah a lot... I'm a teenager and i olny listen to american music... my favorite band is 3dd and my favorite artist is Kelly Clarkson (who is half greek) and Justin Timberlake
We also know the lyrics of all the american songs...
Your songs are coming in Greece after a while
For example Rihanna's Take a bow came to Greece a month after it's first show off in America but i don't think it does matter..
Me personally i am interested in your music and i'm infermed by internet sites for new songs which i download before coming to Greece

It's Greece they are not jumping from Tree to Tree anymore. They have lots of American Music over there. Club Music, R&B and Hip Hop are massive in Greece.

Of course it is. Teenagers listen to all the recent american hits. And people in 30s...e.t.c. listen to their oldies favourites plus the newest hits. As for specific artists, they are so many!!! From Sinatra and Little Richard to Nat King Cole and Aretha Franklin. From Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Patti Smith. Really they are so many. Don't forget that the majority of american artists are internationally known and have fans everywhere. Greece is not an exception. On the contrary, we are great fans of all kinds of american music. |

Listen to Village FM (88.3) and you will barrels of American music, plus all the copy-cat tired stuff Americans used to do 30 years ago. They have this thing called "spasmeno telephone" which is a poor-mans imitation of candid-phone from the 1980s in Los Angeles, but it's horrible!!! Not funny, and quite boring, long etc.
But, if the D.J.s can stop yapping, the music on Village FM is quite nice, a fair mix of American, British, and occasional Greek music mixed in.
My favorite is the American Girl "Kalomira" who sings my Secret combination, or the Swedish girl Elena Paparizaki who also get play on the Greek stations. |
