Is anyone good at pronouncing polish names?

How would you pronounce the name
Przemek or Przemyslaw?

Show all answers

Bart
'prz' is not silent.

You pronounce the names like 'pshemek' and 'pszemyswaff' (original spelling 'Przemysław').

'rz' is pronounced 'zh' like second 'g' in 'garage' or 's' in 'leisure' or 'z' in 'seizure'. After voiceless 'p' it becomes 'sh', thus 'psh'.

Saysie
You pronounce Przemek as Pshemek, Przemyslaw as Pshemislav
Hope I helped you.
