Of course, Finland is a country. Do you own an atlas? Obviously you own a computer, so you could find a listing of all countries on the internet. I am sure ice cream is eaten everywhere.

Some finns will correct me if I am off base, but Finland is a relatively new country..and for much of its history it was either absorbed by or under the influence of Sweden or Russia...It was occupied in WWII by the germanys as a front against the soviets and remained neutral for much of the cold war to preserve its autonomy (from the USSR)...

furthermore, today unlike their other Nordic neighbors they belong to the eurozone which you could argue is further a relinquishing of ther national sovereignty. But I dont think that was originally your question.
