The population of Iceland is so low they could line them all up in an identity parade. Your more in danger from the volcanoes than the people.

Yes it's safe unless you fall in one of the freezers , shoplifters can be a pain, however you get them everywhere.

safer than the shop iceland-it does not have kerry katona there

Iceland has one of the lowest crime rates in the whole world. You're probably more likely to be savaged by an elephant there than you are mugged!

It's got a very low crime rate. I read Top Gear magazine a few years ago, and Jeremy Clarkson was musing on a recent trip to Iceland. Basically, because everyone lives in more or less one place and the population is small, there's a very good chance that if, say, you ran someone over while drunk, there's a very good chance you'd know them and feeling duty-bound to go to the funeral of someone you've killed is a pretty good way of stopping it happening in the first place! Apparently the last recorded sex crime accoprding to the article was in 1962...

Iceland is probably one of the safest places in the world. It has such a tiny population and most everyone lives in the Reykjanes area. I'd be more afraid of falling off a cliff or getting lost and dying of exposure than of getting attacked or robbed. I lived there for 16 years and I never bothered locking the door to my house or my car. When I was younger my parents never had to worry about my safety when I played outside till nearly midnight because of the endless summer days. Of course, there is some crime there, but nothing comparable to what you'd find in the states or in most other European countries. Like I said before, you're more likely to get hurt or killed because you're being an idiot and underestimate how harsh and cruel the weather and landscape can be than to be hurt or killed while walking alone in the city.

Hasnt Iceland got the highest suicide rate in the world, so instead of some1 killing u, u'll probably kill urself (no offense ment) the place with the lowest crime rate would probably be somewhere like the vatican city bt i dont think u cn live there uless ur the Pope
