No absolutly not. My boyfriend is Polish ( or may i say...POLAK) along with his family. He refers to his polish family friends as polaks. We also just came back from Poland and even there the tem Polak is used..but in polish of course.
Its just another way of saying Polish...aka Pole.. Polak |

No. Calling someone polish a Polak is, but people from Poland call each other Polaks. It just depends whether or not you're trying to be insulting. |

umm, i dont know what you people are talking about, my husband is polish, born and raised until he was 23 and then we moved to NZ, but the word "polak" actually means polish in polish language, it is not offensive in the slightest...........

No, not in my book it isn't. As a matter of fact, recently somone on YA asked a question about where the North Pole is located. That was an easy question for me to answer because I told her I was born in Poland, and I'm a Pole...and the name of the Northern town I was born in is Bartoszyce. So, no again to your question about being insulted if someone were to call me a Pole. |

Polak is offensive.
However, Poles are known to be so to say, "slow thinkers", so i think Polak hints on such ability of Poles |
