Jonathan!Uneasy, and it it is possible to consider a question from the different parties. Recently I looked a documentary film just at this theme. To us have shown, that there are the criminal groupings doing the business on Russian women. They employ psychologists who write letters on behalf of the woman , all comes to an end that trustful foreigners send money for ostensibly necessary operations or something like this.After receiving money correspondence comes to an end. There are also women who ask for money, having received which, they also disappear. And there are also women who look at the men from America as the ticket to America. But there are also real Russian women-true,faithful, sincere, understanding, loving, they never betray and are ready to give everything to make a man they love happy.Our women in spite of the fact that they work not less than men, always cook( the members of their family don`t eat fast food), they run the house, bring up children, and spoil both husbands, and children. Men from all over the world look for such Russian women.And these men often stay to live with their Russian wives in Russia, and the Americans as well. I would like to add, that in any case, a search of the real love can be compared to a search of the real pearl. And you can find such love everywhere because real love does not know any borders.. |

i don't think Russians do that anymore as the situation there is stable now.
my fiancee is russian and she hates the idea of moving to america. Everyone she knows feels the same way and the 1st person here that says she used me to get here is probably going to feel some pain. I hope I'm around to see it. |

Thanks, everybody, for insulting my partially Russian heritage! My mom, who grew up in Russia, married an American as her 2nd husband (my biological dad died when I was 4), and he's alive and well. In fact, they couldn't be happier as a couple. I don't think anybody should have a "mail order" bride, either, no matter where she's from. It's just a little strange that somebody would marry someone they don't know and have never met. It's not safe, and goes against common sense. But that is no reason to insult us Russians ("partial Russians" included)! If you'd take the time to get to know some Russians, I'm sure you wouldn't say what you're saying now. I've lived in America my whole life. I've seen and been around a rather wide "selection" of Americans and could say that they're hypocrites. But, I don't because I haven't met every American in person. You people who seem to hate us Russians, and most of you have never even met one! Get a life! |

There is a significant chance of being conned, so yes, if that's what you consider dangerous. But in general, getting a mail order bride is the mark of a pathetic man that has realized that no one will love him unconditionally. |

It can be emotionally and sometimes financially dangerous to get a mail order bride from anywhere. You need to get to know the woman first through email, chat, telephone, and personal visit. I married a Chinese woman, but I never have considered her a mail order bride. If I did not love her, I would not have petitioned for her visa and married her. |

Could be. I've seen stories about it on dateline. But why would you want to marry somebody you really don't know anyways? I think your better off finding a woman you share similar interests with. If you've tried and have failed, don't give up. Use that as motivation to take a step towards working on your social skills. |

Russian women are into one goal only....American men's money! Many American men go to Russia to find a bride and yes also by mail order. I know someone who met a woman from Russia who was brought here for just that purpose. She divorced him and got a nice settlement! |
